Outside Areas

Exit the hotel to the north into the Back Yard, which has no map but is not complicated.

Explore the Forest area, which has a sparse layout. You start next to your car.

You cannot open the main hotel gate directly. Access the Gatehouse Door, which has a four-digit combination padlock.

To find the code for the Gatehouse door (1963): Explore the outside area thoroughly. You'll need two pieces of information. The first is the letter in the dog's mouth. The second is in your car. Unlock the car using the Car Key, access the glove compartment, and take the letter. Note all underlined words and numbers. Hints include "Find the year", "1962", and "next year".

Unlocking the Gatehouse Door grants access to the Gatehouse.

Inside the Gatehouse, locate the pink computer, which serves as a save point.

To unlock the Electrical Cabinet (1847): Use the hint "116 years in the past", referencing the year you just used.

To operate the Electrical Cabinet (goal "2014"): This is a simple additive puzzle solvable through trial and error. A calculator can be handy. The options are random.

Operating the Electrical Cabinet unlocks the main gate outside, granting access to the Front Yard.

The Gatehouse has a second room to the west, accessed from the Front Yard. Inside, find a Shortcut Door.

Solve the Surveillance Monitor puzzle through trial and error using two dials. Left and Right turn the left dial; Up and Down turn the right dial. The left-hand dial should point to roughly 8 o'clock. Move the right-hand dial slowly.

After solving the Surveillance Monitor, go to the bench just outside the Gatehouse to pick up a "Calling Card".

Enter the Front Yard. Pet Rudi the dog. Exits are in the southwest (leading to the west side of the Gatehouse) and the main door into the Hotel.

To open the Front Door to the Hotel (1847): The solution is presented in color. Press the four buttons with color in the order indicated by the number of spots on each key.

Unlocking the Front Door grants access to the Reception Desk.

Travel on the east path from the Forest to reach the Cemetery, which has graves, a Mausoleum, and a fenced gate.

To unlock the Cemetery: Find the Crucifix Key in the Secret Chapel.

To open the Mausoleum: Find the Triquetra Key. Insert it into the stones following the pattern derived from inscriptions. The order is: Front, back-left, right, right, front, back-left.

Unlocking the Mausoleum allows entry.

You will first enter the hotel's back yard via the Back Exit, 2nd Floor.

In the Back Yard, find an E-shaped Key in the southwest corner and a Crank in the southeast part.

To reassemble the Broken Key: Found near the "dead woman", there are four pieces to fit on the main shaft in the correct order. Some pieces resemble numbers.
