Follow this Max Payne 2 walkthrough for Part 12, guiding you through Max's apartment, rooftop ledges, and intense firefights with cleaners to progress the story.
Walkthrough
- 1Start by talking to the woman who offers a shotgun; accept it by talking again.
- 2Exit the apartment and check the open window on the right. Use the parapet outside to proceed.
- 3Jump to the first parapet, then diagonally to the second. A van with cleaners will appear below.
- 4Option 1: Throw a timed grenade near the back door when it opens.
- 5Option 2: Jump to the third parapet and enter the window on the right. Equip the Desert Eagle.
- 6Enter the door on the left. Shoot the TV to wake the snoring man on the couch.
- 7Go through the next window on the right, then enter the window on the right. Hide behind boxes and save.
- 8Kill the two cleaners crossing, then the third coming from the left corridor.
- 9Take the left corridor and walk to the old deaf woman. Accept her painkillers and collect them from the unlocked bathroom.
- 10Go to her drawing room and through the door on the right.
- 11Exit through the next window onto the ledge. Turn left and climb the scaffolding to reach the top.
- 12Enter the window at the top. A cut-scene will play. Pick up the new sniper rifle on the ground.
- 13Interact with the phone-tapping instrument on the table.
- 14Take the door, then enter the bathroom on the left. Check the shelf for a painkiller.
- 15Go to the second door on the left. Wait for or engage the two cleaners coming your way.
- 16Go to the end of the corridor on the right. A woman will lock herself in her house near the staircase.
- 17Hide to the left of the doorway. After a cleaner may throw a grenade, use bullet time to move in.
- 18Engage the five cleaners on the staircase leading to the upper floors. Aim for headshots.
- 19Proceed to the seventh floor (you are currently on the 4th).
- 20Take the elevator on the left. Hide to the left of it when it opens to face three cleaners.
- 21Exit the lift. You can take the stairs to the third floor for ammo clips. Talk to the bum who mentions Ed, the janitor.
- 22Go to the end of the middle corridor and enter the door on the right. Go down the stairs and turn left to find Ed. A cut-scene will play.
- 23Go back up and peek around the door to kill two patrolling cleaners.
- 24Take the lift back to the 7th floor. Exit the lift and press the panel to unlock the door.
- 25Go through the door and take cover. Kill the three cleaners coming from the room at the end using bullet time.
- 26Enter the room they came from. Check the closet for a painkiller, and the bathroom on the left for more.
- 27Go to the room ahead, check the closet for goodies, and return. Save.
- 28Enter the door on the right. Kill the patrolling cleaner for a death sequence.
- 29Enter the next room on the left, check the cupboards, and go near the window. Save.
- 30Exit the window onto the ledge. Navigate the ledges: left, right, right, turn left, jump over the gap, and jump to the next ledge after the pipe.
- 31Turn right, go to the end, equip the sniper rifle, save, and drop to the ledge below.
- 32Turn around and snipe the cleaner shooting from the window behind you.
- 33See the gap in the ledge with a pistol beyond it. Collect the pistol.
- 34Drop down the gap to the ledge below. Head right and enter the window.
- 35Collect the painkiller on the shelf. Go to the room on the left.
- 36Turn right to see a burned doorway. Collect another painkiller on the shelf.
- 37Go through the burned doorway to end the level.
