Follow the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 Part 20 walkthrough to track Naomi, escape a mine, and survive the Stryker Escape sequence with unlimited ammo.
Walkthrough
- 1Find a soldier in front of a river, use a CQC throw (close-quarters combat maneuver) to knock him out, and pick up his weapon and the fore grip B.
- 2Return to the main area and follow the trail northwest.
- 3Cross the bridge and wait for a soldier to walk past, then sneak up behind him and take him out.
- 4Follow the northwest path he was guarding to find noodles, but watch out for a claymore mine planted nearby.
- 5Return to the path and take the other northwest path, crawling and shooting the patrolling soldier before he spots you.
- 6Pick up the stun grenades and PSS handgun near the shack before continuing to track Naomi on the east trail.
- 7As you enter the next area, eliminate the sniper directly in front of you.
- 8Follow the southern route to find ruins guarded by two soldiers; knock them out with your Mk2 and pick up the ammo and RPG behind the building.
- 9Return to the sniper's area and take the east path, stopping before the open area.
- 10Lie prone near a rock and take out the soldier crouched near boxes.
- 11Continue down the path until you reach the riverside.
- 12Walk across the crop circles, triggering an audio flashback of Campbell's alien abduction.
- 13Continue along the path until it diverges into north, south, and west routes. The west path has two Haven Troopers and leads back to the river. The south route is optional and guarded by a Haven Trooper.
- 14After collecting optional items, continue tracking Naomi along the northeast path, turning off your Solid Eye (a device that enhances vision but emits a detectable humming sound) to avoid alerting Haven Troopers.
- 15As you follow this path, take out Haven Troopers. In an open area with a large tree stump, wait for a soldier planting a claymore mine behind it to finish and leave.
- 16Crawl down the northern route to find noodles, a ration, and a cement block with developers' handprints and signatures.
- 17Return to the tree stump and head northeast.
- 18Knock out Haven Troopers and soldiers, occasionally using night vision (a mode that allows you to see in the dark) to spot claymores, especially near where you find Naomi's shoes.
- 19Grab the muna (an item that speeds up psyche recovery) in this area.
- 20Keep to the western-most route as the path splits, following it as it curves north.
- 21Knock out the soldier patrolling this route.
- 22Enter the mine entrance in this area, which leads to the heliport where Naomi was taken.
002.7 - Stryker Escape
- Drebin rescues Snake and Naomi in his Stryker tank. You will have unlimited ammo for all weapons and access to the tank's mounted machine gun.
- Stick to the tank's gun for its power and lack of reloading.
- At Vista Mansion, slaughter enemies near the tank. If an enemy climbs on and gets too close to the turret, use a CQC throw to knock them out. Ignore advanced soldiers in power suits as they cannot be knocked out with V-Ring ammo.
- In the Confinement Facility, focus ninety-nine percent of your energy on destroying the Gekkos using the mounted turret.
- Use the remaining one percent of your energy to destroy any zombie-soldiers that climb onto the tank before they grab Snake.
- Continue to the Power Station.
- Destroy the tank driving around the area.
- Focus on the gate, dealing with the mob of zombie-soldiers.
Tips
- Use CQC throws to non-lethally incapacitate enemies.
- Watch out for claymore mines, especially near items or paths.
- Turn off your Solid Eye when enemies are near to avoid detection.
- Use night vision to spot hidden claymores.
- During the Stryker Escape, use the tank's mounted machine gun for most threats.
- If going for a non-lethal playthrough during the Stryker Escape, use a shotgun with V-Ring ammo on soldiers and switch to the turret for Gekkos.
- Always mind your surroundings during the Stryker Escape to prevent enemies from boarding the tank.
