Learn how Raiden recruits four warriors and divides his soul to combat darkness in Mortal Kombat 9 after Shao Kahn's departure.

Though Shao Kahn is gone, the merging of realms left scars, with remnants of his invasion force roaming freely. Earthrealm is vast, and Raiden cannot be everywhere at once. To combat these forces, Raiden recruited four warriors, one for each cardinal direction, and divided his soul, placing a part within each of them. This allows Raiden to fight the forces of darkness in four locations simultaneously through these new heroes.
