Master Part 16 of Myth: The Fallen Lords with our comprehensive walkthrough, including tips, tricks, and strategies for defeating enemies and completing objectives.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Send your bezerker and journeyman back and deploy archers to eliminate the fetch.
  2. 2
Three soulless will appear; defeat them as well.
  3. 3
More wights will arrive, but they are easy targets for your archers.
  4. 4
Position the dwarf carrying Balor's head at the edge of the hole. He will automatically throw the head in, completing the objective.
  5. 5
Following the mission's conclusion, a powerful magic energy will detonate, destroying the area.
Tips
  • Utilize high ground for archers and dwarves to increase range and prevent grenade bounce-back.
  • Master unit formations and the gesture click for orientation.
  • Dwarves possess satchel charges; use minefields strategically.
  • Avoid having dwarves toss grenades in the same location simultaneously to prevent accidental self-damage from chain reactions.
  • Engage enemies from long range: weaken them with dwarves, then archers, and finally send in warriors/bezerkers to finish them off. Instruct archers and dwarves to cease firing when melee units engage.
  • If an enemy retreats, pause your units and have them look away (gesture click). The enemy may attempt a backstab, allowing you to counter-attack.
  • Veteran units are highly valuable and carry over to subsequent levels if those units are present. If not, their experience is lost. Consult the mission guide (Section 3) to confirm unit carry-over.
  • The journeyman's heal spell instantly kills undead.
  • Targeting the ground near stationary enemies can surprise them, allowing for a kill without them fleeing.
  • Units can be directed while the game is paused.
  • Employ programmable presets for unit positioning, such as flanking archers with warriors/bezerkers.
  • Giants, bezerkers, and warriors are the fastest units, in that order, and can be used as scouts or taunts.

Tricks and Easter Eggs:

  • In "Crow's Bridge," explore the village buildings, including a butcher shop with a bloody table and hanging knives. Dwarves can also blow up barrels of food.
  • In "A Traitor's Grave," look for a trailer and peasant easter egg in the southwest corner.
  • In "The Homecoming," find a statue holding "the Book of Lanreb." "Lanreb" is "Bernal" spelled backward, referencing art and level designer Mark Bernal.
  • In "Force Ten from Stoneheim," admire the waterfall on the south end of the river.
  • In "The Five Champions," instead of fighting the soulless before saving Alric, have bezerkers destroy all jars except the eastern one. Position them behind Alric; if soulless spears accidentally hit Alric, he will break containment and defeat the soulless.
  • In "Silvermines," bats fly out as you approach the mine entrance.
  • In "Sons of Myrgard," some dwarves may have faulty parachutes when reinforcements are called, leading to their death.
  • In "River of Blood," the inner southeast wall bears the Latin inscription: "OSCULARIS TUI MATRIS CUM OS ISTE," translating to "You kiss your mother with THAT mouth?"
  • In "The Last Battle," the inscription where Balor stood raining Legion dwarf heads on Alric reads: "ODERINT DUM METUANT," meaning "Let them hate, provided that they fear."
