    Destroy the corner object, then turn the valve to stop poisonous gas.

    Cross the pipes and vent shafts to return to the area where you broke the first breakable wall.

    Continue through the grassy hall until you reach a large hall with a patrolling Medium Bot (a type of enemy robot).

BOSS BATTLE: JARON NAMIR

Jaron Namir is the antagonist responsible for injuring Jensen, leading to his augmentations. If you installed the new Biochip, your augmentations will be jammed for the battle, blurring your vision, HUD (Heads-Up Display), and radar (a minimap (the small circular map in the bottom-left corner of your screen) showing nearby enemies and objectives), and disabling your Typhoon augmentation.

Jaron has three main attacks:

  • He fires 2-5 plasma shots, followed by another burst, then may reload or fire a single burst.
  • He throws three grenades: Gas, EMP, and Frag. Run away if he throws these.
  • He counters any takedown attempts.

The battle area is divided by a glass barrier. The Laser Rifle can shoot through this glass. You can find a Laser Rifle in a drawer to the left of the entrance door.

Tips
  • Start the battle by throwing a Gas Grenade at Jaron.
  • Keep a large distance from Namir, hide behind corners to avoid his plasma bursts and grenade tosses, and shoot him when possible.
  • Make good use of the Laser Rifle, emptying its ammo on Jaron. If you run out of ammo, switch weapons or use grenades.
  • Search boxes under moving statues for items when low on ammo.
  • Use EMP Grenades to jam Namir's augmentations, allowing you to shoot him briefly.
  • Avoid his Plasma bursts by hiding behind corners.
  • Use Pain Killers and Hypostims when your screen turns red (your only health indicator if augmentations are jammed). Alternatively, hide to heal, then use a Hypostim to boost health.
  • If your augmentations are jammed, your vision, HUD, and radar will be constantly blurred.

Upon defeating Jaron Namir, you will earn [TRAILBLAZER 400XP], [750XP], [GHOST 500XP], and [SMOOTH OPERATOR 250XP].
