Final preparations for Paladins' Finale: revisit Barsas for top-tier equipment like the Storm Armor, and ensure Chezni and Midia have the best loadouts before the endgame.
Tower of the Raigas
Head up the elevator and speak to Piaz. He'll explain a little bit about the creation of alter egos upon activating Dal Gren, and that your alter ego is named Kaymat. He'll also re-power the spherical ship outside so you can now go anywhere in the world you wish, so long as there is sufficient landing space. You can now retrieve the chests in the eastern ocean, as well as grab the Megabl from Zaran in Misuto, if you passed on them earlier.
World Map
It's time to tie up a few loose ends, so step onto your airship and make your way back to Barsas. To get there, fly west until you see the rushing waters that split Naskuot and Saskuot. Keep flying west against the current until you see some vertical rope network lines. Follow these south, and they will terminate at the network station near Barsas.
Barsas
All we care about here is the equipment shop. If you didn't buy or couldn't afford the Sun hl or Gabni sh from Grantsurk, the Rage ht and Good sh are perfectly viable alternatives, each granting just a single point of defense fewer than their Grantsurk counterparts. I mentioned the Rgn sw earlier when explaining why I recommended not buying the HST at Gransturk. I still suggest skipping the Rgn sw, as both the Wind sw and Gomutai are better, and you won't be using Chezni's weapons against the final boss. The Blood wh is pretty useless at this point, as the Sph sw is stronger and Midia is probably not physically attacking much anyway, and the price of the Sh soles should give an indication of their usefulness.
What we actually came here for is the Storm ar, Chezni's best body armor. Equip it, but I'd suggest you avoid using it in combat, as it confuses all battle participants, friend and foe alike.
With the Storm ar equipped, leave Barsas.
If you still need to get the Megabl from Zaran, you can get to Misuto by flying due west from Barsas until you spot a cave - this is the Cave of the Kaiyowa. Head southwest from there to reach Misuto. Zaran is in the bakery.
World Map
There's nothing left to do but beat the game now. Before heading on, double check your equipment loadouts, since this is the stuff you'll be using for the rest of the game (barring rare drops in the final dungeon). Obviously, the left and right hand slots are 100% interchangeable.
Chezni
- Head: There are only two real options here: the Sun hl or the Rage ht. Use the latter if you couldn't afford the former in Grantsurk.
- R.Hand: If you want to go the traditional route of always having a weapon, then the Wind sw should be equipped here. If you'd rather go dual shielding, then the Gabni sh is the best option, though the Good sh is a viable alternative if you couldn't afford the former in Grantsurk.
- L.Hand: Either the Gabni sh or the Good sh. There's rarely a reason to dual-wield weapons, and two-handers (and weaponry in general) are worthless against the final boss.
- Body: The Storm ar is the best option here. If you'd rather not spend the cash on it, then the Bib is a distant second (though only available in Grantsurk), followed by the Cosmo cl.
- Legs: The Grvty bt should have been in this slot since you found them on Dasdan Island. If you need an alternative for some reason, the Cosmo bt would be the choice.
- Belt: Gigabl. If you missed the one in Grantsurk, then fall back to a Megabl.
Midia
- Head: She should have been wearing Sph cr from basically the start of the game.
- R.Hand: If you want to go the traditional route, then use Sph sw. If you'd rather go for total defense, then the Mgt or Sph ring should be here. Alternatively, the Tdr sa can be a less obvious choice of weapon for Midia, giving her a free BoltA on demand.
- L.Hand: Sph ring is the choice here, or the Mgt if the ring is on her right hand.Though you could also go with the Life cor to allow her to heal herself to full for free, which can work out nicely if you farmed the Adult cl.
- Body: For pure defense, the Bib is the best armor Midia can use, though it has no combat utility. Next strongest would be the Cosmo cl, which will heal her to full in combat for five fewer points of defense. Finally, Sph gown casts MGWall in battle at the cost of an additional two points defense (so seven fewer than the Bib in total). Your call, though the most threatening attacks from here on all seem to be physical. Alternatively, if you farmed the Adult cl, you could wear it for the innate ATback and sacrifice basically all defense from this slot in exchange for some hefty reflective damage, particularly on the final boss.
- Legs: Sph bt are the choice here. If you didn't get them, head to Jurayn and fly south until you see a structure in the middle of some mountains. Land, enter, and loot the chest behind the wall.
- Belt: Gigabl. The one in Naskuot is still obtainable even without the boat, and it's more important for her to be able to heal well than Chezni.
A few things of note around Lennus:
