Master the boss fights against Strega members Jin and Takaya, and prepare for the epic showdown with Nyx Avatar in Persona 3 FES. Get strategies and stats to win!

Alright, let's dive into Part 63 of our Persona 3 FES journey. This section is all about taking down some tough bosses, specifically the Strega members Jin and Takaya, and then getting ready for the big one: Nyx Avatar. We'll cover their stats, abilities, and how to come out on top.

First off, let's talk about Persona fusion. If you're looking to get a Persona that can nullify status ailments like Fear and Charm, which is super useful for future playthroughs, you can try this combo: Raja Naga (Panic) + Oumitsunu (Rage) to get Taraka. Then, Taraka (Panic/Rage) + Titania will get you Throne. Finally, Throne (Panic/Rage) + Mot (Fear) + Gabriel will result in Raphael, who nulls four status ailments. Definitely register this one and try not to overwrite it!

A quick tip for survivability: if you give the MC or any other party member the Armor of Light, it automatically nullifies their elemental weaknesses, so you won't need special accessories for that. Also, try to equip them with weapons that have less than 300 attack power.

Strega Boss: Shirato Jin

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Level: 74
  • HP: 4,500
  • SP: ---
  • Resistances: Repel (Rp)
  • Weaknesses: None listed

Battle Actions:

  • Fire Attack
  • Maragion
  • Agidyne
  • Mabufula
  • Bufudyne
  • Mazionga
  • Ziodyne
  • Magarula
  • Garudyne
  • Mudoon
  • Megido
  • Stagnant Air
  • Poison Mist
  • Evil Smile
  • Infuriate
  • Sexy Dance
  • Eerie Sound
  • Tentarafoo

Strategy:

Jin's gotten a bit stronger since your last encounter, learning more multi-target elemental spells and some third-level single-target ones. He still has Mudoon, so watch out for that. Despite his higher HP, his defense is pretty weak – he's more about brains than brawn, and he doesn't have any physical attacks (his 'Fire Attack' uses his Magic stat). The best approach here is to set Aki to Support and have the rest of your party on Full Assault. You'll get 8,313 EXP from this fight, but he drops no items.

Strega Boss: Sakaki Takaya

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Level: 75
  • HP: 6,500
  • SP: ---
  • Resistances: None listed
  • Weaknesses: None listed

Battle Actions:

  • Pierce Attack
  • Agidyne
  • Bufudyne
  • Ziodyne
  • Garudyne
  • Hamaon
  • Megidola
  • Megidolaon
  • Mind Charge
  • Tarukaja
  • Rakukaja
  • Sukukaja
  • Dekaja
  • Dekunda

Strategy:

Takaya is a significant step up. He's learned both Megidola and Megidolaon, along with more third-level single-target spells, and even Hamaon. His HP is the highest you'll have seen so far, even more than the final boss! Similar to the fight with Jin, this can feel a bit drawn out. The strategy remains largely the same: keep your party on Full Assault while Aki supports. You'll earn 9,068 EXP, but again, no items dropped.

Nyx Avatar - Fool Arcana

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Level: 76
  • HP: 1,000
  • SP: ---
  • Resistances: None listed
  • Weaknesses: None listed

Battle Actions:

  • Smiling Arrogantly
  • Arcana Shift

Strategy:

This form of Nyx Avatar is mostly for show. She doesn't really attack, just uses 'Smiling Arrogantly' and 'Arcana Shift'. You'll likely breeze through this phase without breaking a sweat.

Nyx Avatar - Magician Arcana

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Level: 76
  • HP: 1,500
  • SP: ---
  • Resistances: Drain (Agi)
  • Weaknesses: None listed

Battle Actions:

  • Agi
  • Maragi
  • Agilao
  • Maragion
  • Agidyne
  • Maragidyne
  • Fire Break
  • Almighty Attack
  • Arcana Shift

Strategy:

Get ready for a lot of Fire attacks! This form constantly uses Agi spells, and she even drains them, so definitely don't use Fire-based attacks against her. She also uses 'Almighty Attack', which deals around 150 HP damage to everyone and can be powered up with 'Power Charge'. Keep up the assault with your strongest non-Fire abilities. Remember, she can also use 'Arcana Shift' to change her form.
