Your friendly guide to Persona 3 FES Part 7! Learn how to navigate Tartarus, manage your time, and boost your stats for a smoother journey through the Dark Hour.
Alright, let's dive into Part 7 of our Persona 3 FES adventure! This section covers a few key days, focusing on your early steps into Tartarus and how to manage your time effectively outside of it. We'll get you set up to tackle those Shadows and boost your stats.
April 21st, 2009 - Tuesday
You'll start the day with a conversation with Tomochika Kenji. After that, it's time for class. Try to stay awake during your Composition lesson – it'll net you +2 Academics. After school, it's a good idea to take a stroll around the school and then visit a restroom to improve your condition from 'GOOD' to 'GREAT'. This might seem minor, but it's useful later on.
Next, you can wander around town and poke Junpei a bit, or head straight to Paulownia Mall and visit the police station. You'll get 5,000 yen after a chat there. You could spend it on armor, but honestly, it's probably better to save it for now since new gear will pop up soon. If you really want something, a Short Bow is a decent option for its range, but make sure you still have about 6,000 yen left.
From Paulownia Mall, head to Iwatodai Station. Go down a screen and turn right. There's a shop called 'Octopia' selling takoyaki. Grabbing one is optional, but if you do, you can head back to Iwatodai Dorm. Be aware that entering the dorm will skip time to Evening, so only do this if you're done with your daytime activities.
Next, visit Naganaki Shrine and offer 100 yen at the offertory box. This will give you +4 Academics. In the Evening, you'll have a conversation with Mitsuru. After that, you're free to explore Paulownia Mall to increase your stats or head into Tartarus to train. If you return to your room, it'll become midnight immediately.
Keep in mind that from this point until late May, your friends in the lounge or dorm will often share helpful info about Personas, Shadows, Tartarus, and battle systems. Take advantage of these chats!
For some fun and a stat boost, head to Game Panic and enter the 'Horror House' – this will give you +4 Courage. Later, in the Late Night period, if you're not exploring Tartarus, you can study in your room for +2 Academics. Be aware that sometimes studying can make you 'TIRED' the next day, but this is pretty random (around 20% chance), so don't stress too much about it.
April 22nd, 2009 - Wednesday
The day starts with another conversation with Kenji. After school, you'll have another chance to play a Quiz Game at Game Panic, which grants +4 Academics. In the Late Night, hit the books for another +2 Academics.
April 23rd, 2009 - Thursday
You'll overhear a conversation early in the morning. After school, there's a male student near the front door who can warp you to the town map – use him as a shortcut to avoid exiting the school the long way. In the Evening, you'll have a conversation with Junpei. The Dark Hour will be spent in Tartarus.
Tartarus - Thebel Block Details:
- Block: Thebel
- # of Floors: 15
- # of Shadow Types: 8
- # of Bosses: 3
Remember to save your game at the clock-looking thing before heading into Tartarus. Press triangle to open your status menu, then ascend the stairs in the lobby. Once inside Tartarus, grab any items from briefcases (usually Medicine or Snuff Soul). You'll have your first real battle against a Shadow. Just tap X to smack it with your sword.
Mitsuru will offer to explain battle tutorials. It's a good idea to go through them. Use Agi to damage the Shadows and finish them off with an All-out Attack (AoA). After completing four tutorial battles, you'll get a message telling you to press Square to split your team. Do this, and then return to the lobby once Junpei or MC grabs an item. Save your game and leave Tartarus.
