Guide to Rayman Legends' Grumbling Grottos level, focusing on the Savage Swarms. Learn how to navigate Locust swarms using bronze and purple lights, find hidden cages, and collect all Lums.
Walkthrough
- 1Start by picking up the Heart and running under the Locust swarm. Punch the first bronze light to create a force field, sealing out the Locusts. Activate lights and hop along brown platforms, collecting Lums.
- 2Hover through hieroglyph lights down to the floor. Punch the bronze cyclops light, which travels with you. Run left, pummeling Bulb-o-Lums, then double back and run up the ramp. Run through feathers and wall jump outside.
- 3Hit the cyclops light underneath you (left of the door), then drop and float to the [SKULL COIN]. Wall jump and float back to safety. Another [SKULL COIN] is above the door; use the brown islands to reach it.
- 4Jump on a floating platform to make a Lum King appear. Float to the wooden floorboard and ground pound through it. Collect red Lums bouncing on the drum until they are all yours. On the drum slanted right, super bounce to the wall. Wall jump and enter the door at the top.
- 5HIDDEN ROOM: Inside a temple, use moving hieroglyph lights to avoid Locusts. Stay within the light barrier to reach the [HIDDEN CAGE] and three Red Birds. Smash the birds to free the Electoons.
- 6Drop down and use the large drum to cross the wall, then bounce over Spiked Birds. Take the high road: hit the cyclops light and run through the Locust swarm to the right. Float across the pit to another [SKULL COIN] and fall to the ground.
- 7Replenish your light source and wall jump to the wooden gate. Tear it down and run right. Jump across floating islands to purple hieroglyph lights, then glide down to exit the indoor area.
- 8A [SKULL COIN] is to the left, surrounded by Locusts. Activate the bronze light to your left with an aerial kick. Quickly jump to the coin and back while the light is active.
- 9In the next area, punch the cyclops light and rustle through feathers to uncover a Lum King and Lums. Grab them and the Heart inside the flask.
- 10Press the switch at the ruin entrance as hieroglyph lights move around square stones. Follow these moving lights to stay safe.
- 11Activate the cyclops light on the second square stone and fall. To your left is a [SKULL COIN] behind a moving wall. Jump over the wall as it lowers, pick up the coin, then wall jump back. Punch the same cyclops light and sprint right. Scale the stack of two squares as the lights move into place. Glide through the safe path to escape the ruins.
- 12Outside, bounce on the drum to grab an offscreen Swingman. Jump left and up to the ledge, then proceed through the secret door.
- 13HIDDEN ROOM: Hop on Moskito and fly through Locust-filled ruins. Target bronze lights for safe passage. Shoot the three Red Birds in circles of light, then take their place. Shoot the tilted drum to break floor panels, then enter the hole to reach the [HIDDEN CAGE].
- 14Enter the next room. Use the drum for the Heart and Lums, then enter the Locust field. Use cyclops lights as pit stops to refuel your light source. Exit the chamber and go through the door.
- 15In the final room, use drums and moving islands to defeat four Red Birds and open the [HIDDEN CAGE] at the top.

- Locusts cannot be killed; they can only be temporarily immobilized or avoided using light barriers.
- Bronze lights create a stationary force field, while purple hieroglyph lights offer a moving safe zone.
- The bronze cyclops light travels with you but shrinks over time, so be mindful of its duration.
- Use aerial kicks to activate lights that are just out of reach.
- Pay attention to the movement of hieroglyph lights around square stones to navigate safely.
- In the Moskito section, target the Red Birds within their light circles to reveal the path to the hidden cage.
