Think of it like stocking up your backpack before a big adventure! You'll be using these for everything from ship upgrades to completing quests. Let's break down what you need and where to find it. First off, you'll need a Resource Collector. You can get this from the replicator. Once you have it, you're ready to start mining. ### Ores Ores are your bread and butter for early-game crafting. You'll need a resource extractor for these, and they usually pop up on most planets, just steer clear of crystal planets. * Copper Ore: This red ore with black spots is super common, found on almost every planet alongside Silicon Ore. Each one gives you 5 Ore. * Silicon Ore: Looks pretty similar to Copper Ore, just black with grey spots. Also found everywhere and yields 5 Ore. * Magnetite Ore: You'll find this flat, light grey ore on Mountainous, Canyon, and Scarred battlefield planets. It'll give you 5 Ore. * Lithium Ore: Keep an eye out for this whitish-grey ore on Desert planets. It's a bit slimmer than Magnetite and gives 5 Ore. * Quartzite Ore: This yellow ore with a hint of black is found on Snow/Arctic and Mountain planets. It's a bit thinner than the others and yields 3 Ore. * Obamium Ore: This one's a bit of a wildcard. It can spawn on any planet, but it's rare (only a 1/100 chance!). Pro tip: If you're having trouble spotting them, try turning your graphics settings down to "Potato" – it helps cancel out other plants that might blend in. ### Advanced Components & Locked Caches These are a bit trickier to get. You'll mostly find them by looting Locked Caches or by crafting them yourself. Locked caches can be hidden in abandoned buildings like wrecked houses, rusted structures on scarred battlegrounds, or in the destroyed auto-city. * Opti-Cable: Found in locked caches. Used for crafting augments and the Computer Core. * Microfusion Battery: Also in locked caches. Needed for crafting augments and other advanced components. * Nanoprocessor: You'll find these in locked caches. They're used for crafting weapon augments and the Computer Code. * Circuit Board Module: Another locked cache find, used to craft the Computer Core. There are different types of caches: * Regular Resource Caches can give you Nanoprocessors, Microfusion Batteries, Circuit Board Modules, and Opti-Cables. * Shiny Resource Caches (Gold, Silver, and Bronze) are better – they can give you Tristeel Plates, Computer Cores, Antimatter Compressors, and Supercharging Capacitors. ### Craftable Components Once you've gathered enough basic stuff, you can start crafting more advanced components: * Computer Core: Crafted with 5 Nanoprocessors, 2 Circuit Board Modules, and 5 Opti-Cables. Needed for the High-Energy Flow Regulator and high-tier augments. * Antimatter Compressor: Crafted with 5 Glow Fungus, 5 Copper Ore, and 5 Magnetite Ore. Used for the High-Energy Flow Regulator and mid-to-high tier augments. * Tristeel Plate: Crafted with 10 Magnetite Ore, 5 Copper Ore, 4 Lithium Ore, and 4 Crystal Shards. Needed for the High-Energy Flow Regulator and higher-tier augments. * Supercharging Capacitor: Crafted with 5 Microfusion Batteries, 5 Sulfur Plants, and 5 Quartzite Ore. Used for the High-Energy Flow Regulator and rank IX augments. * High-Energy Flow Regulator: The big one!
