How to Open Romaya's Secret Passage: To Romayas Sea Of Stars

Learn how to open Romaya's Secret Passage in Sea of Stars. This guide details the puzzle-solving steps and the location of the secret passage.

To begin this side quest in Sea of Stars, you must first acquire the ability to fly, which becomes available just before the final story dungeon. Once you have this ability, board your boat and speak with Hortence at the helm. She will mention Duke Aventry and Romaya, who has been seen entering a secret passage. Hortence will then direct you to Yolande, who can be found in the ship's hull with the rest of the band. Speak to Yolande, and she will mark the location of Romaya's Secret Passage on your map, situated off the eastern coast of Wraith Island. Due to the surrounding mountains, you will need to fly to this small island.

Upon arriving at the secret passage, you'll encounter a puzzle. Inspect the statue at the northern end, which is being held shut by a mysterious force. Serai suggests visiting Yomara in Songshroom Marsh. Upon reaching Yomara's hut, she won't directly assist but will advise you to look into her cauldron for a clue. Inside the cauldron, you'll see symbols on a wall, which are key to solving the puzzle. Return to Romaya's Secret Passage with this knowledge.

How to Solve the Puzzle:

1. The central turbine controls the colors of the three symbols.
2. The left symbol should be red, the bottom green, and the right purple.
3. Use the turbines in front of each symbol to change them.
4. Red Symbol: Three vertical lines with a mark on the middle line.
5. Green Symbol: Intersecting lines at the bottom with a caret symbol above.
6. Purple Symbol: A lightning bolt with dots in the upper left and bottom right corners.

Once the puzzle is solved, enter the secret passage. Follow the hallway to a room containing the symbols you saw in the cauldron, now with the gate open. Defeat any enemies present, then climb the wall to find and open the chest containing Romaya’s Journal. Exit to the southeast to find Duke Aventry. After speaking with him and handing over the journal, you will receive the Yellow Flame. Take this to the Ferryman's Vigil, and he will transport you to the Half Sunken Tower.
