Guide to Sekiro's Hirata Estate (Owl's Memory) in the late game. Find Prayer Beads, a Memory, and learn how to defeat Lone Shadow Masanaga and Juzou the Drunkard.

Welcome back to the Hirata Estate! If you are here, you have used the "Father's Bell Charm" and you are in the "late game". This time we are in Owl's memory, but this is a real shortened version of this area. Since we've been through here before, I won't be too descriptive as you don't really need it. However, you do want to go through this area as you get TWO Prayer Beads, a memory, and the chance to see another ending for the game. Let's do this!

As you can see, we start off on the stairs, leading up to the burning building where Owl was. Start off by turning around and killing the enemies down on the bridge.

Mini Boss: Lone Shadow Masanaga The Spear-Bearer

You will fight this mini boss in the area Owl used to be at. It is possible to get a stealth deathblow on him. First, kill the enemies by the bridge. Then, draw his aggro out. When he summons dogs, kill them off. Run back to the bridge to lose sight of him, then run up the path, get behind him and perform a stealth deathblow. After that, fight him normally. Lone Shadow Masanaga uses "Poison Hand" and can combo it up to three times. He also has normal kick and sword combos. Deflect these if you are close, or dodge to his right and counter. He can do a perilous thrust attack with his kick. He also loves to jump in the air and try to land on you; dodge and attack right afterwards as he tries a perilous sweep attack. Keep on the attack and nail those deflects to fill his posture gauge.

Upon defeating him, you will receive Adamantite Scrap x2 and a Prayer Bead.

After defeating Masanaga, the left wall in this area is burnt down. Past the archer and a giant with a shield and another soldier, you'll find another giant with a club. Kill the archer on the left and grab the Fulminated Mercury. Use a Gaachin's Sugar, run past the enemies to the back (where the well is) and stealth-deathblow the giant in the back and use puppeteer ninjutsu on him. You can sneak and kill the other enemies you ran past and use the giant as your ally. It is recommended to kill the giant with the shield from stealth. You can spam firecrackers if needed.

In this area, to the right, you can find the "Sculpture's Idol: Hirata Estate - Main Hall" idol. Rest here and prepare for the next area.

The houses have been blown open, allowing access to the big courtyard. You can grapple up to the roofs to the left, where there are THREE purple-cloaked ninjas. Use a Gaachin's Sugar to get behind the first two and use puppeteer ninjutsu. There are also three regular soldiers on the ground guarding Mibu Balloon of Wealth x2. There are no items or enemies in the houses on this side.

Head past the water. On the left side, kill the man on the outside and note there are FOUR soldiers on the inside. You can rush one, kill him, use puppeteer ninjutsu on him to help kill the last three. The items on the floor here are a Light Coin Purse and some Ashina Sake.

Mini Boss: Juzou the Drunkard (Rematch)

You can eavesdrop on the drunkard and "Masanari" to learn who was responsible for this attack. The fight will start afterwards. Sneak around the back to kill the soldier, then run to the upper left and kill an archer. Head back to the left side where the soldiers were; only the purple-cloaked ninja should follow. This is a Mini Boss in our own timeline, but here he is just a single enemy. Watch out for his poison attacks (he can chain them up to three times). You can use puppeteer ninjutsu on him to gain him as an ally, or kill him and stealth deathblow Juzou when you can.

Take out Juzou the Drunkard. You have fought him before. Stay out of range and counter when you can. Use the fire barrel to set him ablaze to help yourself out.
