Walkthrough
  1. 1
From the Barnstokkr tree, jump left off the ledge to find the Shard that leads to the Tower Trial.
  2. 2
You'll arrive on a pier at night. Follow Dillion's blue light towards land.
  3. 3
Before a broken section of the pier, interact with a drawbridge on the right to lower it.
  4. 4
Take the stone stairs to a raised platform in the water. Walk into the large mask and focus to travel to the light world (daytime, less damaged environment).
  5. 5
Return across the drawbridge; the pier is now intact. Use the wooden stairs to reach the base of the tower.
  6. 6
A locked door is ahead. To its right is Lorestone ᛒ (1/6).
  7. 7
To the right of the Lorestone is a Rune Door. Focus on it to activate the puzzle.
  8. 8
Continue past the Rune Door. A chained door is on your left. On the right, head onto another pier.
  9. 9
Near the end of this pier, lower the drawbridge on the right. Cross it and ascend the stone stairs to the platform with the mask.
  10. 10
Look through the mask to return to the dark world.
  11. 11
Cross the now-lowered drawbridge on the right side of the platform and use the other pier to reach the inland island with the tower.
  12. 12
In the dark world, the gate ahead (previously chained) is now broken. Enter through it. Dillion's light is visible inside the tower, but the door is overgrown.
  13. 13
Find another mask and focus through it to return to the light world.
  14. 14
In the light world, the tower door is open. Inside, on the ground floor against the right wall between two staircases, find Lorestone ᛖ (2/6).
  15. 15
Climb one of the staircases. Line up the light shining through the far window with a pile of boxes to find the Rune ᚠ.
  16. 16
Exit the tower by unbarring the door opposite your entry, then turn left and unbar the outer door leading back to the tower's front.
  17. 17
Use the mask on the water platform to return to the dark world.
  18. 18
Use the second pier and lowered bridge to return to the tower's front at night. Open the door and the inner gate to enter the tower.
  19. 19
Dillion's light is visible on the level above.
  20. 20
Find Lorestone ᛏ (3/6) along the back wall ahead.
  21. 21
The stairway to the right of the Lorestone is shattered. Focus on the pieces to the left of the tower's entrance to repair them.
  22. 22
Ascend the stairs to the level above. Dillion's light passes through another Rune Door.
  23. 23
At the top of the stairs, find Lorestone ᚱ (4/6) ahead and to your right.
  24. 24
    Activate the Rune Door puzzle.
  25. 25
Use the mask in the middle of the room to return to the light world. You will see ᛏ Runes. Find the Rune in a window next to the upstairs staircase. Use loose planks to complete the ᛏ arrow shape.
  26. 26
Take the wooden staircase to a higher level. At the top, lower the drawbridge on your right but do not cross it.
  27. 27
Continue along the path on the outside of the room to a locked door.
  28. 28
Turn right and follow the path. On the left side, find Lorestone ᚨ (5/6).
  29. 29
Continue until the path turns. Unbar the door on the left (you don't need to go outside). Return to the bridge.
Tips
  • The core mechanic is using masks to switch between the light and dark worlds, which changes the environment and allows progression.
  • Pay attention to environmental clues, especially light sources, to solve puzzles.
  • Lorestones provide backstory and are often found near puzzle elements.
  • Runes are required for Rune Doors and are collected by solving environmental puzzles, often involving aligning elements or completing shapes.
