Navigate Silent Hill 4: The Room's ROOM 302 (9), finding the Rusty Axe and Spade, and exploring the Pet Shop and Bar Southfield.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
From your apartment, head through the north door beside the locked west door in the store.
  2. 2
Take the red-coloured stairway down to B7 and go through the green door.
  3. 3
In the Pet Shop (B7), bash the Sniffer Dogs or walk quietly to avoid them.
  4. 4
Find ALBERT'S SPORTS KEY by some cat food at the far end of the middle aisle.
  5. 5
In the northwest of the shop, you'll find Hummers on the wall and an unlocked door.
  6. 6
Going through the northwest door leads to a room with a rusted clock door that won't open; this room is inverted and has nothing else to do.
  7. 7
Return to the sporting goods store via the south staircase.
  8. 8
Use ALBERT'S SPORTS KEY to open the west door in the sporting goods store.
  9. 9
Descend the stairway, dealing with Gum Heads. A couple will drop where you entered, and another will block the stairs ahead. Bash the one on the stairs and run from the others.
  10. 10
Be aware of new variants of Gum Heads that can steal weapons like golf clubs or the Steel Pipe. Beat them down to retrieve stolen items.
  11. 11
At the bottom of the stairs, two more Gum Heads will appear. Continue right, past a jammed door.
  12. 12
Follow the narrow walkway past a sealed door and enter the second elevator (the first cannot be called).
  13. 13
Enjoy the cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) (a non-interactive cinematic event) as you descend to B12.
  14. 14
To optionally visit B8 for the Spade and a Sword of Obedience, examine the elevator panel and press the top button to head back up.
  15. 15
Exit the elevator on B8 through the north doors. Follow the pathway past the Ghost (if present) to find a SWORD OF OBEDIENCE and the SPADE.
  16. 16
Return to the elevator and press the bottom button to go back down to B12.
  17. 17
On B12, move through the south elevator doors and grab the PISTOL BULLETS by the fence.
  18. 18
Descend the ladder on the other side.
  19. 19
In the shower room, grab the NUTRITION DRINK on the left side of the pillars.
  20. 20
Eliminate the Whitestools blocking the short hall and head up the ladder.
  21. 21
Follow the path past two Gum Heads and three Sniffer Dogs to find the other side of the fence.
  22. 22
One Gum Head may be carrying a 5-IRON, which can be obtained by defeating it.
  23. 23
Turn right at the fence to the next area and encounter four more Gum Heads.
  24. 24
The Gum Head blocking the next door has a PITCHING WEDGE, which you can take or push past.
  25. 25
Enter the large empty stairwell with a huge fan. Take the stairs down and proceed through the southeast door.
  26. 26
Follow the side staircase past any Tremers down to B15.
  27. 27
Go through the green door by the trash can at the end of B15.
  28. 28
Take the RUSTY AXE from the small, circular table in Bar Southfield (B15).
  29. 29
Check the bar for the BARTENDER'S MEMO to set up a keypad puzzle for a locked door deeper in the room.
