- 1Zone 1 Act 2 - Chao #4: In a room with curved sides, use the left curve to hit a spring that propels you up. Hit the handle and chain to ascend higher. Continue right, break the gray barrier, and collect the Chao.
- 2Zone 1 Act 2 - Chao #5: Jump down to your right, hugging the left wall to avoid a purple badnik. Run right through three loop-de-loops, then up a wall into a new area. Go left to find a switch and a higher ledge with a spike trap. Activate the switch to use a spring, which sends you to another spring. This launches you into an area with a bug and a see-saw. Use the see-saw by jumping on the right end, then the left end to launch a spiky ball upwards. Grab the pole to bounce higher. Use the floating see-saw to reach a rail. Grind or use Tag Action on the rail. After the rail, you'll hit a spring going left, then an Invincibility Item Box and a speed booster. The booster launches you through springs and off a ramp. Keep pressing left to kill a bug with invincibility. A spring sends you up a rail. Look for a trampoline and a moving block above the rail, and a crumbling moving platform to the left. The Chao is on a small platform high up against the left wall, near the spring that sends you up the rails. Tag Action High Jump on the ground near the spring is the easiest way to reach it.
- 3Zone 1 Act 2 - Chao #6: This Chao is located near the end of the act. Turn around when near the goal to find a high wall to the left. The Chao is on a ledge at the top of this wall. While it's possible to reach without special abilities, Tag Action High Jump, flight, or climbing can make it easier.
- 4Zone 1 Act 3 - Chao #7: From the start, jump down a gap and grind a rail (jumping through the rail leads to shields but returns you to the rail). Keep running right after the rail, hitting a spring. Go to the right of a spike-covered ledge and moving blocks. A right Mid-Air Trick from the spring can help. Continue right, go around a loop-de-loop, and reach a see-saw. Use the see-saw, grab the handle, and jump right at the top, avoiding a bug. Continue right, hit a spring to go higher, jump over spikes, and avoid a plane. The floor will curve; jump off into the gap between the floor and the right wall before you start running on the ceiling.
