Learn how to access the final stage in Sonic Heroes, collect all 7 Chaos Emeralds, and defeat Metal Madness with detailed strategies for each team.
Walkthrough
- 1Accessing the Final Stage:
- Collect all 7 Chaos Emeralds.
- 2Complete all team stories.
- 3Go to the story screen, press right past Team Chaotix, and select the Metal Sonic icon.
- 4The Final Battle - Metal Madness:
- This is an all-team battle, starting with Team Rose, then Team Chaotix, then Team Dark.
- 5Weak Point: The plate near Metal Madness's tail.
- 6Damage Strategy: Use characters whose type is the OPPOSITE of Metal Madness's current color (e.g., if it's red, don't use a Power character).
- 7Power-Ups: Break nearby boxes in each team's area to find Rings and Power Cores to level up.
- 8Metal Madness Attacks: Tail Swipe, Firebreath, Ice Missile, Freezing Missile.
- 9Dodging Attacks: Jump to avoid Firebreath and Tail Swipe. Dodge Ice attacks, as they can freeze your team, leading to a lost life if all three are frozen.
- 10Respawning: If you lose a life, you will restart with the same team you were using.
Tips
- Emerald Collection: Emeralds are found in even-numbered stages (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14). It doesn't matter which team collects them; it counts for all. Team Rose stages are often the shortest and easiest for emerald collection.
- Special Stages: Find a Golden Key (often in a cage or hidden) in a level and complete the stage without dying to enter a Special Stage.
- Special Stage Objective: Catch the emerald before it reaches the end. The emerald is faster than you and there are mines.
- Special Stage Mechanics: Collect colored orbs to fill an energy gauge for a turbo boost (use the B button). Avoid black mines, as they slow you down significantly.
- Special Stage Strategy: Stay in the middle of the track, avoid mines, and use the turbo boost frequently. Difficulty increases with each Special Stage.
- General Movement: Try to stay in the middle of the Special Stage track, as controls can be less responsive on the ceiling or far sides.
- Mine Avoidance: Hitting one mine is okay, but two or more can cause you to lose. Move to the side when you see mines.
