Learn how to defeat CRABMEATS, BUZZ BOMBERS, RHINOS, ROUND FLIERS, LIZARDS, WORMS, and DRAGONS in Sonic the Hedgehog Part 12.

CRABMEATS: Small crab robots that sometimes cling to walls. Silver ones do not throw things but roll into a ball and require more hits to defeat.

  • Red: Requires 1 hit. Fires small exploding red bombs.
  • Camouflaged: Requires 2 hits. Leader of a group; killing one usually kills all nearby robots. Fires gray/blue bombs.
  • Gray: Requires about 5 hits. Rolls up into a deadly ball and comes at you; stay away. Paralyzes itself if it rolls into a wall. Fires gray/blue bombs.

Attack Strategies for CRABMEATS:

  • Sonic/Shadow: Kick, Slide or Tornado. Homing Attack if they are on a wall.
  • Silver: Thrown objects, catch the small red balls the red one throws at you, especially if they are on walls, or if you have a Shock Bracelet, paralyze a bunch of them so you can throw them.
  • Tails: Either type of bomb.
  • Blaze: Use Fire Claw on the ground with a running start.
  • Rouge: Scatter bombs or just throw them. If they are clinging to walls, climb on the wall next to them and plant a bomb.

BUZZ BOMBER: Commands a group of smaller robots or calls in reinforcements. The other robots protect the Buzzer, and the Buzzer is the leader for the entire group.

  • Blue and Gray: Requires 1 hit if you hit the core. May send out red shockwaves that call more, larger robots. Small robots surrounding it direct blue laser beams to the ground or fire Vulcan Cannon. The Bomber itself throws gray/blue bombs or shoots missiles.
  • Camouflaged: Requires 1 hit if you hit the core. Small robots surrounding it shoot Vulcan Cannon bullets or laser beams.
  • Red and Black: Requires 3 hits if you hit the core. Small robots surrounding it shoot Vulcan Cannon bullets or laser beams.

Attack Strategies for BUZZ BOMBERS:

  • Sonic/Shadow: Homing Attack.
  • Silver: Thrown Object, but sometimes it's better to use Paralyze Shock.
  • Tails: Ring Bombs while flying.
  • Blaze: Jump and Attack to Homing Attack.
  • Rouge: Bomb thrown from air.
  • Omega: Lock-on shot.

RHINOS: Small robots that charge at you. They will sometimes put up a shield to protect themselves.

  • Green: Requires 1 hit. Sometimes fires gray/blue bombs, always tries to charge at you.
  • Gold: Requires 2 hits. Often, but not always, the leader of a group. Fires gray/blue bombs.

Attack Strategies for RHINOS:

  • Sonic/Shadow: Kick, Slide or Tornado or Homing Attack.
  • Silver: Thrown objects or paralyze then throw.
  • Tails: Either type of bomb.
  • Blaze: Use Fire Claw on the ground with a running start.
  • Rouge: Scatter bombs or just throw them.

ROUND FLIERS: Roundish robots that float in the air.

  • Red: Requires 1 hit. Fires Vulcan Cannon.
  • Yellow: Requires 1 hit. Fires Homing Missiles.
  • Camouflaged: Requires 2 hits. Fires Vulcan Cannon or Blue Energy Bullets.

Attack Strategies for ROUND FLIERS:

  • Sonic/Shadow: Homing Attack.
  • Silver: Thrown Object.
  • Tails: Ring Bombs while flying.
  • Blaze: Jump and Attack button.
  • Rouge: Bomb thrown from air.
  • Omega: Lock-on shot.

Monsters: All monsters come in a common Orange type and a rarer Purple type that takes more hits to defeat and has stronger attacks.

LIZARDS: Pretty basic; the red ones breathe fire and the purple ones shoot lasers. Both try to jump at you. Sometimes found on walls.

  • Orange: Requires 1 hit. Breathes fire and tries to jump at you.
  • Purple: Requires 2 hits. Fires a laser beam and tries to jump at you.

General Attack Strategy for LIZARDS: Any way you want.

WORMS: These worms spit spiky balls and appear from underground. They may burrow and reappear elsewhere. A small circle of dusty fire appears before one emerges. If you are too close when it burrows or appears, you will get hurt. You can only attack when its mouth is open, especially when throwing things with Silver. They may swing their entire body. Sometimes found on walls and hanging from the ceiling. Sometimes the leader of a group.

  • Orange: Requires 2 hits. Spits spiky balls, burrows, sometimes swings at you.
  • Purple: Requires 3 hits. Spits spiky balls, burrows, sometimes swings at you, sometimes uses Dark Breath.

General Attack Strategies for WORMS:

  • Sonic: Homing Attack.
  • Shadow: Use Chaos Spear first to prevent it from burrowing, then Chaos Attack, or kick at it from below.
  • Silver: Throw the objects it sends at you back at it; paralyzing and throwing is faster.
  • Tails: Basic Ring bombs.
  • Knuckles: Screwdriver punch.
  • Blaze: Fire Claw is best.
  • Rouge: Any bomb.
  • Omega: Omega shot or Lock-on.

DRAGONS: Flying enemies that shoot things at you or dive at you. They light up when you get near them.

Attack Strategies for DRAGONS:

  • Sonic/Shadow: Homing Attack.
  • Silver: Thrown Object, or if not too far away, Paralyze Shock and throw.
  • Blaze: Jump and Attack button.
  • Rouge: Bomb thrown from air.
