    Crisis City: After the Blaze section, look below the road for a hidden box containing a Silver Medal.

    White Acropolis: Hug the left wall at the beginning to find a secret shortcut. Follow the twisting path to the left to find a Silver Medal.

    Flame Core: In the room between the two dark rooms with a checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death), defeat all enemies to make a Silver Medal appear.

    Soleanna (Forest): This Silver Medal location is the same as described for Sonic.

    Last Episode (End of the World) - Shadow's Section: To reach the final Silver Medal, take the second Eagle Ride on the normal path. When you see a Rainbow Hoop, catch it or Homing Attack the flying monsters. After the second Air Rail, do not jump on it. Instead, jump at the green orb on the Eagle Statue again. This will change the Air Rail to lead to the Silver Medal.
Tips
  • To reach the Silver Medal in the tree, jump into the leaves and hold Attack to charge Chaos Spear. This will allow you to hang in mid-air and aim for the medal. Then, Jump Dash towards it.
  • Gold Medals are equivalent to Emblems in other 3D Sonic the Hedgehog games. You can track them in the Gold Medal Results Menu.
  • You earn Gold Medals by completing Act and Boss Missions, finding Silver Medals, completing Hard Modes, and earning S Ranks.
  • There are a total of 180 Gold Medals in the entire game: Sonic has 61, Shadow has 56, Silver has 56, and Last Story has 7.
  • Earning all 180 Gold Medals unlocks an Achievement and 50 Gamer Points on Xbox 360.
  • Types of Gold Medals:
    • Sonic, Shadow, and Silver Gold Medals (Normal Acts): Normal Mode Competed, Normal Mode S-ranked, Hard Mode Completed, Hard Mode S-ranked, All 10 Silver Medals.
  • Gold Medals (Extra Acts): Completed, S-ranked, All 10 Silver Medals.
  • Gold Medals (Bosses): Boss Completed, Boss S-ranked.
  • Specific Gold Medals: Collect all of Soleanna's Silver Medals, Achieve S Rank on all Act Missions (each character), Achieve S Rank on all Town Missions (each character).
  • Last Episode Gold Medals: End of the World (Completed, S-ranked, All 10 Silver Medals), Solaris (Completed, S-ranked), Achieved S Rank on all Act Missions (Last Episode), All Episodes Cleared.
  • Xbox 360 Achievements: Total of 23 Achievements worth 1000 Gamer Points.
