The Echo of Despair — Split Fiction Walkthrough

Level Introduction: Navigate initial corridors with hazardous areas and tricky platforming. Zoe destroys a panel, revealing cables for Mio to destroy. Zoe uses her whip to open a door. Mio uses Gravity Shift to walk on a wall, then destroys a cable holder. Zoe swings across a pit using the released cable. Zoe drags a container back for Mio to jump on. Zoe moves the container to the end of the corridor while Mio avoids hazards. Mio destroys pink cargo netting in a tunnel. Zoe uses her whip to destroy crates. Both characters proceed through a room with green sludge, using Wallrun (Zoe) and Gravity Shift (Mio) to reach a door. Zoe destroys another panel cover, revealing cables for Mio to destroy, opening the door.

Cylinder Puzzle: In the next room, Mio destroys glass and uses Gravity Shift to reach panels, opening a cylinder. Zoe uses her whip to grab a container before it hits gears and throws it into the cylinder, stopping the gears for Mio to cross safely. Mio opens the door to the right.

Ceiling Traverse: Mio uses Gravity Switch to leap to the ceiling of the next room. Proceed through the corridor and destroy glass to the left at the end.

Container Pit Puzzle: Mio hits connecting struts below large containers in order, allowing Zoe to cross the pit safely.

Ventilation System: Zoe moves to the end of the room and destroys a vent cover. Both characters enter the vent. Mio uses Gravity Shift to return to Zoe's surface. Zoe uses her whip on a bar, exposing a Pink node for Mio to destroy. This process needs to be repeated twice (bar left and right) to open the door.

Sky Traffic Traversal: Traverse from vehicle to vehicle using jumping, grappling points, wall running, swinging, and Gravity Shift.

Pink Node Puzzle: Reach a truck with a Pink node. Zoe stands on a box, Mio attacks the node, sending Zoe to the next truck.

Gravity Shift Panels: Zoe picks up and throws crates at glass covering Gravity Shift panels. Mio uses Gravity Shift to reach the truck front.

Arm Grapple: Zoe grabs and drags an arm on their truck back for Mio to attach to. Mio swings to the next truck.

Truck Control: Mio takes control of a truck to allow Zoe to progress. Zoe jumps to a ladder on the back of the truck and moves forward to the next truck, with Mio ensuring alignment. Mio disengages from controls and moves to the same truck, using a Gravity Switch panel to return to Zoe's platform.

Cylindrical Truck Hatch: Both characters progress to a cylindrical truck with a Green latch. Zoe interacts with the latch to open it. Both characters use the ramp to enter the truck, avoiding green floor hazards by jumping between platforms.
