The Synergy System is a unique feature in Split Fiction that allows you to combine abilities from different Archetype skill trees. Once you reach level 15, you'll unlock 'Synergy Slots' in your skill tree. These slots allow you to equip a 'Synergy Gem' which modifies an existing ability or creates a new combined effect. For example, combining 'Temporal Slow' (Chronomancer) with 'Void Lash' (Void Breaker) might create 'Temporal Void Lash', a projectile that slows enemies and deals void damage over time. Experimentation is key here. Synergy Gems are acquired through completing challenging side quests, defeating specific elite enemies, or as rare drops from Chronal Rifts. There are hundreds of possible combinations, allowing for truly unique and powerful builds. Don't be afraid to respec your skill points (available at any major hub for a small fee) to try new synergies.
