Part 28

Navigate Wizard Peak, master the challenging Crystal Flight level, and defeat the boss Blowhard in Spyro the Dragon. Your complete guide to Part 28.

Walkthrough: Wizard Peak

1. Start by collecting two red gems, then charge through a chest for a purple gem. Collect two more red gems at the end of the path.
2. Glide around the wall to the left to reach an unreachable platform. Flame the golden-gem-releasing EW and collect 4 gems from the two wooden chests.
3. Return to the beginning of the level and proceed up the path. At the middle of the third path, glide to the opposite side, atop a doorway.
4. Collect six red gems along this path, then wind around through two wooden chests for 3 gems. Collect two red gems at the end of the path.
5. Glide hugging the wall again to land on another platform. Flame the gold-gem-releasing EW and collect 7 loose gems.
6. All 500 gems in Wizard Peak are now collected. Exit the level via the 'Return Home' vortex.

Progress after Wizard Peak: 4800 Gems (40%), 45 Dragons (56.3%), 12 Dragon Eggs (100%), 65.4% Complete.

Moving On: From the homeworld, jump to lower ground on the right, and trace back into the cave between the two main areas. The portal to Crystal Flight is to the right.

Crystal Flight (Type: Flight, 3/5)

This is described as the hardest of the flight levels, with tight turns and hidden objects.

1. Start with a tight turn to flame a gnorc in a plane.
2. Head for the rings, following all eight between the mountains (+1 second each).
3. Fly through the arch in view (+2 seconds).
4. Turn right towards another arch, then swoop down carefully to the level of the next one, hugging the wall to the right for the next two.
5. Continue straight ahead for #6 and #7.
6. Follow the fairy, take a tight turn left to flame the first chest.
7. Immediately take a tight turn down and left to the last arch.
8. Fly ahead to find planes going around the mountain (+3 seconds each). Collect the first three.
9. Collect the remaining planes by going up, down, up, down, tight left, and finally up to the last one.
10. Go towards where the first chest was, then right for the second, left for the fourth, down for the fifth, up and left for the sixth, slightly down and right for the seventh, and finally up and left for the last one.
11. All 300 gems in Crystal Flight are collected. Exit the level.

Progress after Crystal Flight: 5100 Gems (42.5%), 45 Dragons (56.3%), 12 Dragon Eggs (100%), 66.3% Complete.

Moving On: Take the left turn outside, follow the path downwards, over the platform raised by the Druid, and enter Blowhard.

Blowhard (Type: Boss, 3/6)

This is the final boss, described as easy and the level as straightforward with no secrets.

Enemies: Lightning Wizard x7, Druid x4, Blowhard (BOSS)

1. Collect 15 gems from the wooden chest trio to your right.
2. Proceed to a Lightning Wizard. Dodge its lightning attacks and flame it. Collect gems from the purple and gold-topped chests.
3. Flame the explosive chest to reveal 11 gems.
4. Jump up to two more Lightning Wizards. Charge through both for 15 gems.
5. Charge through metal chests for another 15 gems.
6. Jump down and flame at least one of the pair of Lightning Wizards for 10 gems total. Break open the two gold-topped chests.
7. Jump up to another step, defeat another pair of Lightning Wizards for 10 gems total.
8. Go to the top platform. Blowhard, a tornado wizard, will appear. He is out of reach and fires a storm cloud that strikes lightning. Move out of the way to dodge it.
9. When Blowhard lowers himself to make another storm cloud, quickly head over and flame him. He will drop a golden ge [incomplete].
