Navigate Agroprom's treacherous terrain in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chornobyl - Enhanced Edition. Learn about Military HQ, Agroprom Underground, and dangerous anomalies.

Agroprom presents a significant challenge, characterized by a sprawling installation surrounded by hazardous wilderness. Players will encounter a mix of mutants and anomalies in the hills, alongside heavily armed Military forces occupying the southern buildings, which serve as their Zone headquarters. Friendly NPCs and traders are scarce, with the exception of potential encounters in the train tunnel or factory grounds. Danger is pervasive, truly immersing players in the Zone's atmosphere.

For Rookie and Trainee players, there's no immediate need to linger in Agroprom. The main quest allows direct entry into the Agroprom Underground and a swift exit, with the option to return later to confront the Military forces, including those operating helicopters.

Dominant Faction(s): Military

MAJOR LOCATIONS

Abandoned Duty Factory

Located in the north buildings, this area contains typical elements like fires, stash boxes, and a bed. While it offers an alternative exit to the Agroprom Underground, its primary draw is the Nerve Wracker Anomaly, accessible after an emission. Once a site of intense conflict, it is now largely deserted by both Stalkers and mutants.

Agroprom Research Institute (Military HQ)

The southern buildings house the Military's headquarters, heavily defended against any intruders, including with helicopter support. Success requires either substantial munitions and allies or stealthy infiltration at night. The primary reasons to visit are to explore the facility or observe its collection of stuffed mutants.

Agroprom Underground

This subterranean area is accessible from six points above ground, with the northern entrances being more advantageous. Inside, players will face Bandits and psy-mutants. It is typically visited once during the Living Legend mission and again for the Hollow Boundaries quest-line.

Note: There is a deeper level to the Agroprom Underground, featuring additional rooms and tunnels expanded in later game versions. However, in Anomaly, this deeper section is extremely dangerous and not required for any quests, making exploration inadvisable. Avoid using the southernmost Underground entrance near the Bushwhacker Anomaly for this deep area.

ANOMALIES

Bedrock Claws

Situated south of the Yantar exit and the Toxic Swamp, near a southern road curve. This anomaly features springboards and radiation, requiring caution, especially near the Research Institute's north gate. Artefacts may spawn here and are not always detected, so careful observation is needed.

Bushwhacker

A hazardous cluster of nearly invisible vortexes on a hillside, located east of the Agroprom Research Institute and north of the Great Swamps entrance.

Dog Mincer

North of the east end of the train tracks, this anomaly consists of springboards and vortexes on a highly radioactive hill frequented by snorks and dogs. An abandoned campsite lies to the north-west, behind large boulders.

Heavy Grass

A gravitational and radioactive anomaly found on the hillside northwest of the southernmost entrance to the Garbage.

Nerve Wracker

Located within the factory, this anomaly spans two floors and includes electrical hazards and a potent psychic field. Players can traverse it by hugging the north wall, but prolonged exposure without adequate psychic protection is ill-advised. Artefacts may be located on different levels.

Toxic Swamp

A large pond that serves as a deterrent for entering Agroprom via Yantar, or vice versa. While the water itself is harmless, hidden springboards and nearby mutants pose significant threats. A nearby hut contains a bed, but the area is subject to chemical damage.

EXITS

  • Garbage (north-east, south-east)
  • Great Swamps (south)
  • Yantar (north-west)
  • Agroprom Underground (central, south)
