Outskirts (& Laboratory X-8)

The Outskirts region is the same as Pripyat from Call of Pripyat, featuring similar landmarks and hazards.

Fast travel to the Outskirts is only possible from Zaton, not Jupiter.

Spending extended time here is generally only recommended for the Living Legend quests or hunting Monolith.

The southern part of the region hosts friendly NPCs, and Meeker of the Mercenaries offers unique equipment.

Monolith forces are scattered throughout, making it a good place to collect Monolith patches.

For the UNISG Hollow Boundaries storyline, the Outskirts is vital, with the Book Store serving as a neutral safe haven and trading post for UNISG soldiers.

Visit Strelok's hideout at the Laundromat in the south-east, which also serves as an emission shelter and contains a bed with a stash box. There is no workbench here; use the one at Yubileiny Service Center.

The Book Store in the south-west houses a neutral group of Mercenaries. You can trade with them, accept quests, and improve your reputation with the Mercenaries. Alternatively, you can eliminate them to claim their workbench.

The Yubileiny Service Center in the north is controlled by the Monolith and is a required location for the Living Legend quest-line. It also contains a workbench.

Laboratory X-8, located within the Yubileiny Service Center, must be visited for the Living Legend quest-line. It is inaccessible until the Generator on the top floor is activated.

The Hospital in the east is typically occupied by Monolith and is a required visit to help Strelok.

The Kindergarten in the south-west is Rogue's location late in the Story missions. Avoid dropping into the last room under the Monolith antenna to prevent getting stuck.

Prometheus Movie Theater in the north is Stitch's location very late in the Story.

Strelok, the main quest-giver for the Living Legend quest-line, is located upstairs in the Laundromat.

Stitch, Strelok's medic, is in the Laundromat and gives the Living Legend: Medical Supplies quest.

Yar, Strelok's secondary technician, is also in the Laundromat. He performs upgrades and sells tech equipment. Note that Yar's faction is Freedom, and he will attack Duty soldiers.

Cashier, a trader in the Laundromat, sells basic items at slightly inflated prices.

Tourist, found in the Laundromat, offers fast travel services to various locations for a fee: Jupiter Underground (5000 RUs), Pripyat (7000 RUs), Jupiter (Yanov) (10000 RUs), Zaton (Skadovsk) (15000 RUs), Radar (20000 RUs), and Chernobyl NPP (25000 RUs). Traveling to Pripyat and running to the Chernobyl NPP exit is cheaper than paying for direct travel to the south-east of the Chernobyl NPP.

Griffin, the leader of the Mercenaries at the Book Store, offers missions, including one involving Laboratory X-8. He will pay several thousand RUs for each of the three Experiment Documents found in the Lab.

Meeker, a trader at the Book Store, stocks a wider variety of items than Cashier, including food and many guns. He allows placing orders for specific guns and offers good ammo prices. He is one of the few traders selling batteries for the Gauss rifle, though they are very expensive.

Trunk, the Mercenaries' technician at the Book Store, sells standard items and offers a service to swap ammo types. He cannot upgrade gear as he lacks tools.

The Old Service Center is heavily irradiated with electros on the bottom floor. Artefacts and loot can be found here, and the back door opens from the inside.

The Vine anomaly, a twisted tree in the north-east, has a gaseous pit underneath that may contain artefacts.
