Infiltrating the Bastille

Infiltrate the Bastille in Steelrising. Learn to flank and counter the powerful attacks of the Bastille Guard and find clues about Vaucanson's whereabouts.

The Bastille is a labyrinth of corridors, cells, and workshops. Expect heavily armored automatons and traps. The Bastille Guard, a large, slow but powerful automaton, will be a common sight. Their heavy attacks can stagger Aegis, so prioritize dodging and counter-attacking their flanks.

• Objective: Navigate the Bastille and search for clues about Vaucanson's whereabouts.
• New Enemy: Bastille Guard (heavy armor, powerful attacks).
• Traps: Look out for pressure plates that trigger crossbows or explosive barrels.
• Exploration: Many cells contain lore documents or small caches of Anima Essence.

You'll need to find keys or activate mechanisms to open various gates and progress deeper into the fortress. The environment itself tells a story of imprisonment and experimentation. Be prepared for tight corridors and ambushes.
