Navigate Part 7 of the Street Fighter V walkthrough. Learn about unique bird-perspective stages, equipment selection, contact rooms, health upgrades, and game over conditions.
Part 7 introduces unique bird-perspective stages, similar to Zelda, where you move forward while fending off various enemies. These stages are short and primarily offer opportunities to collect precious Continues by defeating tougher opponents. One stage also contains a Helmet, detailed in the walkthrough for Area 17. You cannot use Accessories or Protective Items in these stages, so low health can make them challenging. Completing these stages leads you to a waiting truck, after which you return to the map to continue the game.
4.4.4. HOW TO CHOOSE EQUIPMENT
When selecting "Descend" on the map, encountering a tank, or using secret paths, you'll access the Items screen to choose equipment for the upcoming stage. You can select one item of each type: Weapon, Protective item, Accessory, and Communicator. For Enemy field stages, only your weapon is selected. Other stages allow selection of all item types. Refer to section "5.2. Equipment" for details on usage and rules. Some areas require specific items for access; consult the info box and level overview in the walkthrough.
4.5. WHEN PLAYING A LEVEL
4.5.1. CONTACT ROOMS
Contact rooms are found in most enemy areas. Interacting with the central computer offers two options: "Communicate" (receive clues from allies) or "Wire Tapping" (overhear enemy conversations for secret information). In certain areas (3, 8, 9, 10, and 11), wire-tapping triggers an alarm and enemy appearances. Visiting a contact room sets it as your respawn point if you die in the level, provided you have lives remaining. Different areas require specific communicators; using the wrong one results in static. Some areas necessitate using contact rooms to unlock boss room doors. Check level info boxes for required communicators and contact room usage.
4.5.2. INCREASING YOUR HEALTH BAR
Initially, your health is very low, making you vulnerable to single hits. To increase your health, collect "bullets" dropped by defeated enemies. Each bullet collected increments your bullet counter. Reaching certain thresholds grants an extra health point and fully restores your health. The number of bullets needed for subsequent health increases rises progressively. The maximum health is 8 life points. Completing an enemy area awards 10 bullets, and leaving a level to return to the map fully restores your health.
Bullet to Life Point Conversion:
- 5 bullets: 1 life point
- 15 bullets: 2 life points
- 30 bullets: 3 life points
- 60 bullets: 4 life points
- 100 bullets: 5 life points
- 150 bullets: 6 life points
- 220 bullets: 7 life points
- 300 bullets: 8 life points
4.5.3. GAME OVER
Each hit reduces your energy units. If all energy units are depleted and you are hit again, you die. Falling into water, holes, or quicksand also results in death. You start with three lives and can gain more. Upon death, you respawn in the last visited contact room. Running out of lives leads to a "Game Over," returning you to the title screen where you can start a new game or continue if you have gathered Continues from Enemy Field Stages.
