Master Street Fighter V with our comprehensive guide to powerups like Bullets, 1-UPs, Energy Potions, P.O.W., and Continues, plus detailed info on all weapons.

This section of the guide covers essential powerups and equipment found throughout the game. Powerups are temporary items that directly improve your character's status or provide advantages. They can be found on the ground in hidden spots, inside bonus boxes that drop from the sky, or by defeating certain enemies. To open bonus boxes, shoot them or hit them with your bionic arm.

Powerups Found in Levels:

  1. BULLETS:
    - Location: On enemies, in bonus boxes, rooms in neutral areas.
    - Description: Small white cans that raise your health bar. Almost always found after defeating enemies.
  2. 1-UP:
    - Location: In bonus boxes, rooms in neutral areas, hidden places in enemy areas.
    - Description: A small doll version of your main character that grants an extra life. Crucial for difficult levels as losing all lives results in a game over.
  3. ENERGY POTION:
    - Location: In bonus boxes.
    - Description: Looks like Energy Recovery Pills but are used directly. Restores your health bar to full.
  4. P.O.W.:
    - Location: In bonus boxes.
    - Description: An icon with "POW" text that grants temporary protection. It creates a fast-moving fireball around you that kills enemies on contact. Note that this does not make you immortal; you can still be damaged by environmental hazards or if enemies/bullets bypass the fireball. The fireball continues to function even after it shoots into the air and falls back down. Only found in white boxes.
  5. CONTINUE:
    - Location: Enemy field areas.
    - Description: Found by defeating specific stronger opponents in enemy field stages. Looks like a military eagle badge. Grants an extra continue, allowing you to restart after losing all lives. Specific enemies to defeat include shield guards with cannons (cliffside areas), jeeps (blue floor stages), and blue soldiers with bionic arms (hidden base).

Equipment:

Equipment items are crucial for progression, making you stronger, granting new abilities, and opening up new areas. There are four types: Weapons, Communicators, Accessories, and Protective Items.

WEAPONS:

Weapons are primary offensive items with infinite ammo. There are 5 standard guns and 1 special story-related gun.

  1. STANDARD CANNON:
    - Salvo rate: 3 bullets per screen.
    - Strength: 3.
    - Speed: 4.
    - Range: 5.
    - Description: The starting weapon. Fires small green bullets straight forward with a maximum of 3 per screen. Has a long reach (full screen) and high speed. Effective against weaker opponents and stage-end computers, but less powerful than later guns.
  2. WIDE CANNON:
    - Location: Acquired after completing Area 4.
    - Salvo rate: 3 bullets per screen.
    - Strength: 1.
    - Speed: 5.
    - Range: 1.
    - Description: Fires three bullets simultaneously in a wide spread (one straight, two diagonally). Its main drawback is its extremely short range, requiring close proximity to enemies. It is only effective against flying enemies in specific areas (5 and 7) but is generally considered one of the weakest weapons.
  3. ROCKET LAUNCHER:
    - Location: Acquired after completing Area 5.
    - Salvo rate: 1 bullet per screen.
    - Strength: 5.
    - Speed: 3.
    - Range: 5.
    - Description: Significantly increases offensive power. It has the highest attacking power in the game, capable of defeating all enemies with just one shot.
