Learn how to effectively level up Leonard with Harborym to reach level 22 in Tactics Ogre: Reborn. Get tips on enemy weaknesses and optimal strategies.

Alright, let's talk about getting Leonard and Harborym leveled up, specifically aiming for level 22. This is for Battle 33, Wyoburi, and it's a bit of a unique one. You've only got five enemies here: four beasts at level 21 and the leader, Ganb, at level 22. You *can* just go straight for Ganb to end the fight quickly, but honestly, you'll want to take out those beasts first. Why? Because they drop Stat Cards, which are super useful for boosting your characters. Plus, if you're looking for more experience, you can always do a Random Battle afterward.

Heads up: Fighting from 'Ash' terrain is going to really hurt your abilities, so try to avoid it if you can.

Your Lineup should look something like this:

Back Row: Denim, Presance, Sara, Harborym, Ghost

Front Row: Sisteena, Forcas, Aloser, Byan, Canopus

Strategy:

On your first turn, get everyone into good positions. Forcas and Sara should start taking shots with their Crossbow and Bow, respectively. The others can toss stones to chip away at the enemies. I managed to take out about half of Obda's HP and two-thirds of Cockatrice Zanga's. Honestly, Cockatrices are way scarier if they could actually use Petrify from a distance. Keep an eye out for those Gryphons, though – their WindShot can pack a serious punch. One hit me for over 140 HP!

The enemies will get their second turn pretty fast since they didn't do much on their first. The leader, Ganb, actually heals 50 HP for every beast you kill. He also likes to walk on lava with his 'Spark' boots, which boosts his defense but lowers his attack. Once you've grabbed any Stat Cards you want, focus on Ganb. To get that level-up for Leonard (or whoever you're aiming for), make sure they land the final blow. Crucially, don't drop Ganb below 50 HP unless you're ready to finish the fight – you want to score that level-up before the battle ends!

Random Battle Notes:

After this, you might run into:

  • 2x Earth Dragon + 2x Red Dragon
  • 3x Earth Dragon + 1x Red Dragon
  • 2x Red Dragon + 1x Earth Dragon + 1x Cockatrice
  • 2x Red Dragon + 2x Cockatrice
  • 2x Cockatrice + 1x Earth Dragon + 1x Red Dragon
  • 2x Cockatrice + 2x Earth Dragon

After the Battle:

Don't forget about the 'Spark' boots you might have picked up. If you have a character with Mid-LUK, equip them to try and get a SolCharm/OhnCharm. If they have High-LUK, you're aiming for another Orb. Just remember to swap their gear back to normal once you're done with the stat-boosting attempts.
