Learn how to get Luck Cards in Tactics Ogre: Reborn to improve your chances of finding the best buried treasure and snagging powerful stat-boosting items.

Alright, so after the next big story battle, there's a little optional thing you can do that's super important for getting the best loot later on. It's all about buried treasure, and to get the *really* good stuff, you need a character with high Luck. But here's the twist: sometimes, the 'worst' treasure can actually be amazing, and for that, you need someone with *low* Luck. We're going to focus on getting some Luck Cards to help with this.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
    Where: Zodo Marsh.
  2. 2
What: You need to fight a random battle here. The goal is to get two '-2 Luck' cards.
  3. 3
What to do: Before the battle, save your game. You'll be fighting four enemies, giving you three chances to get a Luck Card. Aim to get the '-2 Luck' ones specifically.
  4. 4
Why this way: These cards *decrease* your Luck stat, which is what we need for certain treasure spots. If you don't get them, don't sweat it – you can fight a second battle or even proceed with the next story mission and come back later.
Tips
  • Character Setup: You'll want a character with at least 57 Luck for the best treasure, but for this specific mission, we're aiming for a character with around 42 Luck. Presance is a good candidate because his Luck stat isn't crucial for his spells, and his counter-attacks won't do much damage anyway. He starts with 46 LUK, so getting two -2 Luck cards will bring him right down to 42.
  • Archer Prep: You'll also need a generic Archer who can walk on water for some treasure spots. Try to get her at least one Luck Card between now and the end of the next mission. She'll be replaced by someone better soon, but she'll still be useful.
  • Wind Ring: This battle can also get you a Wind Ring, which is a nice boost for your healers or magic-users. It gives +1 Intelligence, +4 Agility, and +5 Earth Resistance. Plus, you can use it to cast 'WindShot', a ranged attack with good accuracy. If your Cleric is Wind Element, even better! Give the first Wind Ring to your Cleric; if you get a second one (from Ashton City later), give it to Presance for the speed boost.
  • Terrain: Don't worry too much about the terrain in Zodo Marsh; the enemies will reach you quickly.
  • Leveling: This battle is also a good chance to get most of your characters to level 9.
  • Item Costs: Just a heads-up, Blessing/Escape items are cheaper than Orbs, but they're still valuable.
  • Two '-2 Luck' Cards (aim for these!)
  • A Wind Ring
  • Potential character leveling
