Walkthrough

Advance your units as far as possible. Units on the right should move down the middle.

Have Bow-wielders and units without bows (using stones) attack the Skeleton below to defeat it on your first turn. It will revive later.

Prioritize eliminating the Soldiers.

Once Soldiers are defeated, focus on the undead enemies.

Be aware that the Ghost and Witch will retreat to the rear of the map.

Keep a fodder-healer and a fighter near Kachua and Presance to protect them from reviving Skeletons. Vice will also assist.

Be mindful of potential treasure drops, especially the Spear from the Spear-wielding Soldier.

Consider Persuading the Spear-wielding Soldier as an alternative to hoping for a drop.

If the Ghost is Persuaded to join your team, it can serve as a distraction for the Witch.

Heal the boss with 'Cure' spells to create opportunities for non-training level-ups.

To achieve instant level-ups, ensure characters have at least 25 EXP before the battle ends by having them target high-HP allies or the Witch with stones.

Tips

Canopus has high Physical Resistance (Defence) and does not need a shield; keep his Spear equipped.
Consider giving the 'Blessing' item (obtained from mission 3) to Canopus for automatic revival, or Denim if you prefer.
While training is not strictly necessary for this easy battle, new players to Tactics Ogre: Reborn can reach level 4 now for an edge.
Save before defeating the Spear-wielding Soldier to ensure he drops his weapon instead of a Stat Card or other equipment.
There is no guarantee that treasure dropped will be the Soldier's Spear.
Presance's priority is usually healing, so focus on eliminating Soldiers before the undead become a major issue.
A Life Card (5 HP) was found as Buried Treasure and given to Denim.
Buried Treasure containing 'Heal' is located at coordinates 17,10 (top-left is 0,0), in a water square surrounded by soil, requiring an Amazon to retrieve.
The new Ghost ally, if recruited, can reach level 4 by repeatedly casting 'Incubus'.
After the battle, swap Presance's 'Exorcism' and 'Heal' spells for easier access to 'Heal'.
