Complete walkthrough for Part 17 of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, covering Lorule's Kakariko Village, minigames, and hidden treasures like Pieces of Heart and Bottles.
Walkthrough
- 1Before leaving the Blacksmith's in Lorule, merge with the east wall and move to the west wall to find [MAIAMAI #42].
- 2Head north to the Fortune-Teller. Then, return south to the blacksmith and go west to Kakariko Village. Dash into the first tree to find [MAIAMAI #43].
- 3In Kakariko Village, check the southwest side for a Rupee Pen. Merge with the nearby wall and collect the Rupees. West of here, along the south road, is an empty building containing [MAIAMAI #44].
- 4Enter the northwestern house to find the shop. The following items are sold: Bee (88 Rupees), Golden Bee (9999 Rupees), Fairy (77 Rupees), and Shield (50 Rupees). It is not recommended to purchase anything.
- 5Exit the shop and go south to the weather vane. East of here is a wall with a dark fissure leading back to Hyrule. You will arrive in an unexpected location and receive [PIECE OF HEART #15].
- 6Return to Lorule and visit the Fortune Choice Guy near the entrance to Thieves' Town. For 200 Rupees, you can play a game to win [PIECE OF HEART #16].
- 7Head south out of town to the Big Bomb Flower shop. Borrow the Bomb Flower for 200 Rupees. Detonate it where it stands to reveal [MAIAMAI #45].
- 8Lead the regrown Bomb Flower south and detonate it on the large cracked rock.
- 9Once the Bomb Flower sprouts again, lead it northwest and detonate it on the large rock to reach the Great Rupee Fairy Fountain. Donating Rupees here can yield Fairies and a reward: One Fairy (400 Rupees), Two Fairies (600 Rupees), Three Fairies (1000 Rupees), Four Fairies (2000 Rupees), and Five Fairies (3000 Rupees). Donating 3000 Rupees results in [BOTTLE #4].
- 10Head west to Rupee Rush. It costs 100 Rupees to play. Defeat Rupee Likes near the pond and aim to cash in on the triple bonus by finishing under 1 second. If you finish with 100+ Rupees, you will win [PIECE OF HEART #17].
- 11Play a second round, then head to the north wall to free [MAIAMAI #46].
- 12Go east past the Bomb Shop to Octoball Derby. For 50 Rupees, you get 30 pitches. The objective is to break 100 points to collect [PIECE OF HEART #18]. Hitting a red pot yields 1 Rupee, a gold pot yields 5 Rupees (respawns), and hitting a bird yields 20 Rupees. To make the bird appear, hit three pots in a row. Crabs reset pot positions.
- 13To the left of the Octoball Derby field are three skulls; break them to find [MAIAMAI #47].
- 14Retrieve the Bomb Flower and return to the area south of Octoball Derby. At the southern end is a [CHEST] atop a hill, blocked by a large cracked rock. Detonate the rock with the Bomb Flower to enter and find a [CHEST] containing a [SILVER RUPEE].
- 15Leave the area and merge with the southern wall, heading through the crack back into Hyrule. Jump off the ledge, merge with the wall, and use the fissure to reach Lorule again.
- 16You will be on a higher ledge. Merge with the wall and move west to rescue [MAIAMAI #48].
- 17Repeat the process to return to the high ledge. Use the Hookshot to reach a [CHEST] with another [SILVER RUPEE].
- 18Head northeast to where Link's House should be. Use the weather vane, then bomb the backside of the house to reveal a secret entrance. Open the [CHEST] to find [BOTTLE #5].
- 19Hop off the cliff and free [MAIAMAI #49]. Head around front and use the fissure to find Sarashala.
Tips
- Monsters like Poes can be taken down by attacking them directly.
- Moblin: Damage: 1 Heart. These monsters act as Soldiers in Lorule. Use the Hookshot to steal their shields and slash them on their open side, or use ranged attacks.
- Taros: Damage: 1 Heart. These bull-like monsters fight similarly to Moblins in Lorule. They often wield spears, giving them a reach advantage. Stun them or use ranged attacks.
- Monster Tails and Monster Horns dropped by enemies can be used by the Witch of Hyrule to brew Potions.
- If playing in Hero Mode, entering the Vacant House allows you to find a diary from Ravio, which adds to the plot.
