Part 13

Begin by grouping your rangers, with Faramir at #1, and the hobbits together. Arm the hobbits' rock-throwing abilities. Use Faramir's bow to engage enemies from afar, especially Haradrim Lancers, to minimize his damage taken. Faramir can gain up to 2 ranks here.

Clear out any visible units and buildings. Consider building 2 more ranger units and 4 Gondor soldiers to unlock fire arrows. Use fire arrows on Mumakils, but stop attacking when they reach critical health to let them rampage through enemy lines. Ensure Frodo, Sam, and Faramir survive.

For increased survivability, group Gondor soldiers with rangers as meat shields, though this removes the rangers' cloaking ability. Alternatively, group soldiers with archers for armor upgrades.

Proceed to the lower part of the map, where you'll find more ranger reinforcements and a trebuchet. Eliminate the Mumakil and make it panic to trample Haradrim Lancers. Destroy the Mumakil Pen to prevent further spawns.

If funds allow, build knights and equip all rangers with fire arrows. Use Faramir to lure patrols towards your rangers. Bombard the camp with the trebuchet while other units attack other buildings. Prioritize defensive towers with the trebuchet, but be mindful of friendly fire from its volleys.

Establish a base camp from the destroyed Mordor camp. Build 2 blacksmiths, a farm, a barracks, a stables, and a well. Prepare for an ambush by positioning rangers at designated spots, reinforcing the bottom spots with spare rangers. Place the trebuchet in a strategic spot for damage. Position knights at the top of the incline to charge and clear remaining enemies after the rangers deal with Mumakils, being cautious of Rhun warriors.

After the ambush, hold the front line of your base while upgrading units with blacksmith upgrades and fire arrows. Build soldiers to sacrifice for tower guards. Four upgraded tower guards with tower shields can hold the front line against infantry and arrow fire. Position other units to destroy key enemy buildings. Build knights at the stable (not the pool) and get the shield upgrade for them. Leave the hobbits at the base camp during the final assault on the enemy camp.
