Walkthrough
- 1Dark Room: You must cross this room without being seen. You can start early by jumping over the short wall from the bottom step. Jump to the right, into the darkest area.
- 2Quiet Room: Similar to the Dark Room, you must cross without being heard. Jump over the barrier to the left to save time. To avoid the metal grating near the end, try jumping over it onto the carpeted stairs to avoid attracting attention.
- 3Sparring Room: Pick up your sword first, then your bow. Shoot an arrow at the targets. Turn 180 degrees, draw your sword, and attack the dummy until you land a left swing, a right swing, and an overhead swing. You will then spar with a guard; neither of you can harm the other. After sparring, collect items from the table. Note that picking up only the key is sufficient.
- 4The Basketball Court: After sparring, pick up the key from the table. Follow the guard to a door (you may need to slow him with an arrow). Unlock the door to find the basketball court. Shooting the ball is a fun diversion with no in-game reward. In the far corner, a bedroll contains amusing quotes from the development team. This area is not required for progression.
- 5Mantle Room: After jumping across a gap over a river, mantle onto a block. From the path, jump forward to land on the red beam from which a rope descends. From there, take a running jump to land on the roof. You will fall off after a few seconds. This is for personal exploration only.
- 6Final Room: Beyond the red door, run to the end of the hall and pick up the golden vase from the table. This provides an additional 50 gold pieces for the next mission.
Tips
- Dark Room & Quiet Room: You do not need to wait for your instructor to finish speaking before beginning these sections.
- Sparring Room: To shave time, approach the dummy with an overhead swing ready. If items don't appear on the table immediately after sparring, continue to engage the guard until he actively fights back.
- Target Range: You can access the target range area by walking along the wall parallel to the staircase, then running and jumping into the grassy area to retrieve your arrows.
- Balcony: Access the balcony by jumping onto the window ledge to the right of the table with your sword and bow, then performing another running jump to a distant ledge. Hold the mantle key to pull yourself up. If you land on the tree, jump again.
- Healing Potion: If you do not pick up the healing potion from the table, you will still start the next mission with one.
- Game Bug: To gain extra gold, save your game before the end of the training mission. Reload and finish the mission multiple times. Each completion adds 300 (or 350 if the vase was collected) to your previous total.
- Picking up the golden vase in the Final Room grants an additional 50 gold pieces.
