Enter the next large room, which has upper and lower levels. The bottom floor offers more cover and fewer initial enemies, while the top floor is heavily defended. A central opening allows engagement between floors.

Strategy 1 (Top Floor Focus): Ignore the bottom floor and engage enemies on the top floor with your team. This keeps you close to your team for support but offers less cover and may prolong the fight as enemies from below reinforce the top.

Strategy 2 (Bottom Floor Stealth): Stack your team at the top but have them wait. Clear the bottom floor alone. As you advance upstairs, have your team use explosives or smoke to create a diversion. This requires managing threats from both floors and potential reinforcements from back rooms. Grenades are highly recommended.

Strategy 3 (Bottom Floor Focus): Ignore the top floor and engage enemies on the bottom floor with your team. This provides more cover but makes it harder to engage enemies on higher ground. Enemies from the top will fast rope down to reinforce.

After clearing both floors, proceed to the next hall for another large firefight. This room also has top and bottom floors, a large open center, an MG turret on the left, and a sniper on the top-right.

Prioritize taking out the sniper quietly.

Use one of the previously mentioned strategies, keeping in mind increased crossfire between floors and the MG turret. Reinforcements will come from the top floor via fast rope. The top floor on your side of the room will be clear.

Suggested Approach: Clear the bottom floor via the right door to avoid the MG turret. Tag a patrolling enemy in the center and use explosives or smoke. Hug the right wall, using tables for cover, and clear the back area. Wait for reinforcements to come down and eliminate them. Then, carefully advance upstairs to clear remaining enemies.

Head through the back to find fast ropes and descend to continue.

You will enter a corridor. The left side opens into the room where the reporter is held hostage. Alternate paths include front doors, a side door from an empty room on the right, or stairs on the right leading to a dining room with a balcony overlooking the hostage.

Recommended Path: Use the side room on the right to get behind the hostage. The hostage may obstruct an enemy, but she will drop to the ground when combat starts. Prioritize eliminating the tango directly next to the reporter to prevent her execution.

Immediate threats include three enemies on the ground by the hostage and two to three more on the stairs and balcony above.

As you enter, watch the stairs and balcony for descending enemies. Camp near the reporter and wait for more enemies to emerge. The area is clear when the reporter stands up and speaks to you. She will escape on her own; escorting is not required.

Proceed to the end of the room to engage more enemies. Camp until reinforcements stop coming down the stairs, but watch for stragglers in the back. Position yourself with a clear view of the stairs to eliminate them as they descend.

Move through the passage they emerged from to continue.

You arrive in Fremont, starting in a small room with slot machines and two doorways leading to Fremont Street.

Upon approaching the doors, you will be attacked by three enemies positioned past a family. They will not intentionally harm the civilians, but exercise caution with your shots. After clearing them, the family will reunite.

Send your team down the middle towards cover. Look left for a ladder leading up to the neon lights spelling "DOUBLOON".
