Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow Part 29: Sneak past guards, navigate searchlights and thermal mines, and find the manhole cover.
Walkthrough
- 1Crouch at the bottom of the fence in the corner and scan the area with binoculars, using zoom and alternating between night vision and thermal vision (a type of vision mode that highlights heat signatures).
- 2Stay in the shadows and move through the wooden frames. Use the Whistle ability to lure the patrolling guard directly in front of you to the base of the watertower for an ambush.
- 3Find the other guard near the van. Use Whistle to lure and incapacitate (KO) him as well.
- 4Shoot out all visible lights, including the van headlights.
- 5Shoot out the spotlight at the base of a palm tree. Look behind it to find an open manhole cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects).
- 6Drop Sam into the water at the end of the ladder and immediately move to the dark, right-front corner.
- 7Shoot out the lightbulb on the ceiling near the ladder.
- 8Move slowly to the opening on the right and peek around the corner. When clear, shoot out the lightbulb over the door on the far side of the room.
- 9Move into the room and crouch in the corner to the left of the door. When a terrorist comes from the left, incapacitate him quickly to avoid an alarm.
- 10If an alarm is raised, retreat to the water beneath the ladder, equip the SC-20K, and incapacitate the pursuing terrorist.
- 11If the first terrorist is taken down without an alarm, the second will come down the waterway into your sights.
- 12Hide both bodies and pick up any dropped pistol ammo.
- 13Proceed down the sewer in the direction the last terrorists came from, shooting out overhead lights with your pistol as you encounter them.
- 14When you see a light shining from an opening on the left wall, enter the room. Stay in the dark and shoot out the moving camera over the doorway.
- 15Shoot out the lightbulb hanging from the ceiling.
- 16Move through the room and crouch at the doorway. Shoot out the lightbulb on the ceiling lighting the area outside the door.
- 17Move to the opposite wall from the doorway and look right for a ladder. Sneak alongside the right-hand wall and shoot out the light next to the ladder.
- 18Jump Sam at the foot of the ladder to grab it, then climb up. Save at the Checkpoint (a point in the game where progress is automatically saved).
- 19At the top, crouch and stay behind the large antenna dish to avoid detection by the searchlights sweeping the courtyard.
- 20Use thermal vision to visualize a path through the thermal mines (explosive devices that are invisible without thermal vision). Memorize their locations.
- 21Switch to night vision (a type of vision mode that enhances visibility in low light) and run through the mines to the next antenna dish.
- 22Move to the box-shaped object on the right when the searchlights are moving away from you, and crouch behind it.
- 23Turn thermal vision back on and look right. Move past the single thermal mine to the antenna.
- 24Point Sam at an angle towards the wall to run past the mine. Turn on night vision, and when the searchlight has just passed over, move.
- 25Once Sam reaches the wall, run him behind the antenna and crouch.
- 26Repeat this process for the next box and antenna, moving just after the searchlight has passed behind you.
- 27Behind the last antenna, face the fence to your right. Move up to the fence, avoiding mines.
- 28Watch the other spotlight; stay just to the right of where it stops. Climb up on the fence.
- 29Count the seconds between the spotlight coming to rest next to you and moving away. Use this time to move down the fence, find the area not covered by barbed wire, swing over, move around the generators, and find cover before the searchlight returns.
Tips
- If you get detected, guards may run around and change position. If you are skilled with sniping using the SC-20K, keep moving and track them.
- If you get the first terrorist down without an alarm, the second will come ambling down the waterway right into your sights.
- You cannot see the thermal mines and the searchlights at the same time, requiring memorization and switching between vision modes.
- Dying multiple times before succeeding is possible, especially when navigating the searchlights and mines.
- The ornate gate missing its spikes at the top close to the wall is where Sam can climb up and over.
