Learn how to effectively use Transistor's HELP() function, including its Active, Upgrade, and Passive slots, and discover its powerful combinations with other Functions.

The HELP() function in Transistor allows you to summon an ally, a "Friend," to assist you in combat. It has three slots: Active, Upgrade, and Passive, each offering distinct benefits.

Active Slot: This allows you to call a Friend to aid the User. You can plan the Friend's actions using the Turn() command. A base Friend has 75 damage and 20 life, and is usable in Turn().

Upgrade Slot: This slot gives most Functions a chance to prevent Cells from spawning. Specific details can be found by viewing UPGRADES.

Passive Slot: Using Turn() with this slot active grants a 25% chance to become a SuperUser. This can unlock a new Active ability called Kill(), which deals 500 base damage and costs 110 Turn() planning points.

BK Info: HELP() summons a dog-like ally with decent attack but low life. The upgrade on this function is considered weak. The Active slot is good for summoning an ally outside of combat. The Passive slot can turn you into a powerful entity with nuking abilities, making it worthy of experimentation, though more active passives might be preferred later in the game.
