Part 28

Valkyria Chronicles 4 Part 28 walkthrough including DLC Squad 7 Mission 2 (3t) and Brilliant Minds.

1. Alicia hits the ragcrate behind the tank leader.
2. Rosie kills the crouched shocks and captures the Northwest camp (turns 2-3).
3. Largo destroys the tank on the west camp and captures it.
4. Welkin destroys another Gatling.
5. Welkin breaks the Southeast scout sandbag, kills the scout, and continues West.
6. Welkin mortars a ragcrate, which should kill the tank, standing scout, and shock. Veer right to avoid provoking the crouched shock in grass and continue West.
7. Welkin breaks the shocks' sandbag and destroys the Gatling on the camp. Welkin can try to knock the shock off the camp, but results can be unreliable.
8. Alicia runs past the crouched scout and kills/knocks off the shock on the camp and captures it. Alicia will take minimal damage from the scout, but with the Gatling already killed, she has no risk of dying.

This is a very easy mission. Capture the nearby camp and park your Grenadiers there. Climb the nearby guard tower to spot other targets to destroy. Enemies will run over multiple sandbags, making it easier for your Grenadiers to hit them with interception fire.

Note: This mission may give the wrong impression of how Grenadiers are effectively used elsewhere in Valkyria Chronicles 4.

This mission is accessed via a book save after clearing chapter 9 but before clearing chapter 10, the earliest possible access. No Royal weapons are used, though they are useful, especially the tier 3-4 Royal lance. Squad stories for Rosetta, Hanna, Rita, Connor, and Neige must be completed on the save file. Azusa or Rosetta are good leader choices, but Rita was promoted to corporal for this DLC instead. The mission goal changes to bringing 3 units to the Southwest flag after the boss and reinforcements appear when any unit gets close to the main enemy camp. Destroying the boss is optional.

1. Connor, Simon, and Neige clear initial enemies.
2. Rita uses direct command, repositions shocks to face incoming enemies, carries Hanna forward, and destroys a Gatling turret.
3. On the enemy turn, many enemies appear and die to interception fire.

1. Connor and Neige pick off more enemies.
2. Connor kills the crouched sniper and Grenadier.
3. Hanna kills the assault tank leader.
4. Rita carries the shocks South while resupplying.
5. Scouts clear the way to trigger the boss's appearance.

1. Connor and Neige pick off more enemies.
2. Rita kills the enemy ace.
3. Rita and the shocks position to kill incoming enemies from the Southwest.
4. Other units get out of the way of the boss or incoming infantry to avoid taking damage.

1. Hanna climbs the Northwest guard tower and fires lances at the boss's radiator to destroy it.
2. 3 units reach the goal and finish the mission.

This mission is played using a book save earlier in this run, after clearing chapter 9 but before clearing chapter 10. This is the earliest you can access this mission.
