13) Chapter 7 Walkthrough

In the Forest of Spirits, Crustacean Monsters are very difficult without Fire magic, and Corsair Beetles have high defense but are weak to magic. Mandragoras are extremely dangerous and best avoided; they can instantly defeat your party unless you have the Infernas sword from the Citadel of Flame.

An Eye of Heaven is located in the first area of the Forest of Spirits. Follow the path: left, left, left, talk to the Elf to go to the Elven Village. After speaking with the Elf, go right, right, take the first path up, go left and up, left (find Lucerne Hammer), up, go down at the path next to the Elf (find save point, Sap Power spell, and a Golden Egg). Go right and fight the Cockatrice. After defeating it, go left, up, right and down, right, right (find Dampen Magic spell), up (find Sacred Javelin spell), down at the Elf (find Lapis Lazuli, Golden Egg, Invoke Feather spell), right. Fight the Venemous Spider. Go left, up, right (find Wassail-Rapier), right, down, down, left. The Sivapithecus is high in the tree; defeat it. Go left, down, down, left to find the Polar Fountain. Talk to the Elf, then go right and immediately back left. Collect the Polar Drops from the full Fountain. Go right, right (find Timer Ring, Golden Egg, Dampen Magic spell, Reflect Sorcery spell), left, down (find Mystic Cross spell), left, left (find Heal spell, Sylphan Robe), right, right, up, up, left, left. Talk to the Elf to repair the Accursed Flame Gem and give it to Odin. Exit the Forest.

After exiting the Forest, re-enter and go left, left, left, left, down, left, down, left to find another Cockatrice. Defeat it to obtain the Elven Bow and Arectaris greatsword.

The Tombs of Amenti are long but not particularly hard. Many treasure chests contain monsters; consider equipping a Scout Orb (a type of item) for the first attack.

In the first room of the Tombs, an Eye of Heaven is above the door, requiring crystal steps to reach. A Flame Jewel is above the door to the right. Many chests are on high ledges.

To escape a sealed room in the Tombs of Amenti: pick up the Blue Gem, form a crystal on the platform where the gem was, and shatter it with your sword; the fragments' weight will trigger the exit switch.

To get past the giant head in the Tombs of Amenti: kneel, cut its beard and chin, then slide under it.

To reach the Ruin's Fate: hit the bottom spike wall with your sword to stop it, then jump over it when the top wall passes.

To reach a specific door in the Tombs of Amenti: use a crystal to jump to the door on the triangle above you (the left one), then jump to the door above the right triangle.
