Valkyrie Elysium Chapter 0 walkthrough: battle Lesser Harpy, Jelanda, and Lombert, then navigate the Artolian Mountain Ruins.

• Lesser Vampire (HP: 400, Weak: none, Drop: Sage, Vegetable Seed)
• Ghast (HP: 600, Weak: none, Drop: Long Sword, Leather Armor)
• Pongo (HP: 1000, Weak: none, Drop: Normalize, Fire Lance)
• Dragon Servant (HP: 500, Weak: Ice, Drop: Chainmail, Broadsword)
• Elder Vampire (HP: 4800, Weak: None, Drop: Aqua Vitae)

Items found (Normal and Hard modes): Iron-Barred Key, Eye of Heaven, Vegetable Seed x3, Book of Everlasting Life, Angel Curio, Savory, Quartz Gem, Nightshade, Element Scepter, Fox Glove, Fire Lance, Treasure Search, Lapis Lazuli, Sealed Box, Jeweled Blade "Grimrist".

Items found (Easy mode): Iron-Barred Key, Vegetable Seed x3, Book of Everlasting Life, Treasure Search, Sealed Box, Jeweled Blade "Grimrist".

Inside the ruins: Freya will provide tips. To open the menu, press the Triangle button. You will see your current party, their DME (Duration of Magical Existence), and experience. Select 'Skill' to open the skill menu.

Skill Menu:

• Learn: Spend CP (Character Points) to learn skills. Recommended skills for new characters are Counter (Status skills) and First Aid (Reaction skill).
• Set Up: Assign learned skills. You can set two Reaction skills, one Support skill, and one Attack skill. Status skills are always available and do not need to be set up. Reaction and Support skills work automatically. Attack skills require a specific button sequence. Counter (a Status skill) requires a button press in combat.
• Traits: Increase a character's Traits by spending CP to improve their Hero Value. Note that Arngrim, Mystina, and Gandar cannot be transferred to Asgard, so increasing their traits or non-combat Status skills is useless.

Use Item Menu:

• Use items for special effects (most have no effect on their own).
• Transmute: Change items into different items. Valkyrie's Transmute options change if she is equipped with a Creation Gem or Creation Jewel.
• Convert: Change items into Materialize Points (MPs) to buy other items.

Divine Item Menu: Spend Materialize Points to create items, weapons, armor, and equipment.

Party Menu:

• Change party members (Valkyrie cannot be removed).
• Experience Orb: Allocate Event Experience earned throughout the game to chosen party members.
• Practice: Fight an unkillable enemy to practice combos. Select 'Flee' to end the session.

Ability Menu: Select spells for mages, attack order for warriors, and counterattack attacks. Adjust warrior attack order if attacks are not connecting.

Equipment Menu: Change characters' weapons, armor, and other equipment.

Transfer Menu: Send a character to Valhalla. A maximum of two characters can be transferred per chapter. The character is gone until the end of the game.

Status Menu: View character statistics and other information.

Configure Menu: Adjust audio and visual settings, and remap controller buttons. Set sound output to Monaural if you do not have a stereo television to avoid muffled voices.

Data Menu: Save or load your game. Saving requires two blocks of memory.

Dungeon Navigation Note: The dungeon layout differs in Easy mode. In Easy mode, there is nothing past the Treasure Search room, and the boss is located where the boat would normally be.

Navigation Path:

1. Go right, right, up.
2. Obtain the Iron-Barred Key.
3. Go down, down.
4. Take the first passage up.
5. Obtain the Eye of Heaven.
6. Go down, left, and up.
7. Go left.
8. In this room, find a Vegetable Seed and the Book of Everlasting Life.
9. Go down, left, and up.
10. Climb the wall to find an Angel Curio, Savory, Quartz Gem, and a Nightshade.
