Valkyrie Elysium PSP version uses 12 CGI movies instead of anime, lacks item sorting, and has other key differences from the North American release.

The PSP version of Valkyrie Elysium is based on the Japanese PSX version, not the North American version. While this guide remains applicable, several differences exist:

  • The anime and FMV (Full Motion Video) scenes (moving pictures) have been replaced with 12 CGI (Computer-Generated Imagery) movies.
  • You cannot sort items (organize your inventory).
  • Only your active party (the characters currently fighting with you) can change equipment (gear).
  • If you switch Valkyrie from a bow to a sword or vice-versa, all her skills (special abilities) will unequip themselves. This can cause issues during the A ending, where she automatically receives a sword.
  • Certain enemies, such as Barbarossa, do not cast their Great Magics (powerful spells), making them easier in this version.
  • Some North American censorship (content removed for specific regions) is present, like Badrach's smoking being removed, while other censorship is absent, such as Lezard having a pentagram (a five-pointed star symbol) when he teleports.
  • The original North American voices are included, but new voice actors were hired for the movies, with the exception of Lenneth, who retains her original voice actor.
