• The Suanyu is a large demon resembling a grotesque bird with snake-like features, four wings, six eyes, and three legs.
• Its cry is perceived to sound like its name.
• It is considered a portentous being, said to bring fear to any state it visits.
• Focus on deflecting and dodging its various lightning and projectile attacks.
• Deflecting the Fire/Red Bolt and Dive Attack can stun the Suanyu, creating openings for damage.
• Utilize allies like Guan Yu and Zhang Fei to help deplete its Spirit and health.

Phases:

1. Initial Encounter: You may have Guan Yu and Zhang Fei with you. Focus on learning the Suanyu's attack patterns.
2. Sustained Combat: Continue to observe attack cues and react accordingly. Prioritize Spirit depletion for Fatal Strikes.

Strategy:

• Lightning Waves Attack: Four sparks emanate outwards. Stand between them or dodge/run backwards if the Suanyu flies into the air and lightning forms from its wing eyes. This attack can occur twice in quick succession.
• Lightning Bolts and Projectiles Attack: Two or four homing lightning bolts are fired, followed by projectile blades. Keep dodging to one side or deflect each projectile.
• Head Swipe: The Suanyu winds its neck back and thrusts it forward. This can be deflected, but be prepared for follow-up swipes if the first is not deflected.
• Spinning Attack: The Suanyu charges to one side before spinning. Deflect or dodge away from the beast.
• Fire / Red Bolt: The Suanyu flies up and charges a red beam from its core and wing eyes. Deflect this to fire the beam back, dealing significant damage and stunning it. Attack during the stun.
• Dive Attack: The Suanyu charges a red beam from its core only and dives. Deflect this to briefly stun the Suanyu for free hits.
• General Combat: Get in hits whenever possible, aiming to deplete its Spirit for Fatal Strikes. If allies fall, focus on survival and periodic attacks, using deflections to build Spirit for more damaging hits.
