Walkthrough for Yakuza 0 Chapter 2: The Real Estate Broker in the Shadows. Learn how to find Tachibana Real Estate, master Beast Style, and defeat Oda.

Poor Kiryu. Trying to solve things in his own weird fashion backfired on him. The poor dope has spent more of the series not being a yakuza than being a yakuza, and clearly this game will not be upsetting that trend.

Some more of the game has opened up. While you don't have access to every minigame just yet, all the spots marked on your map are now open for your pleasure. Go to the arcade, go bowl, sing karaoke. Whatever you like. When you've got your fill, head on over to the Kazama Office. Once you talk to Nishiki, you can head north. On your way, you'll be spoken to by a giant man. This is Mr. Shakedown and I hope you're ready for a punch-up. You will most likely get wrecked in the process. If you CAN win, more power to you, but a loss won't kill you. In normal circumstances, losing to Mr. Shakedown will cost you your entire bankroll. In this preliminary instance, though, you'll only lose a portion of your funds. From now on, though, Mr. Shakedown will be roaming the streets looking for you, so be prepared to run at this early stage of the game. This is good incentive to cash your money into your abilities.

Anyway, head all the way north to the marker in the Hotel District. Once you reach it, you'll be given a prompt to head back to Kiryu's apartment, which is apparently outside of the neighborhood. Head up the nearby stairs and into your apartment and you'll have an evening conversation with Nishiki. The next morning, head back into Kamurocho.

From here, I'm going to point out that NOW the game has fully opened for you to get involved in. You can access the new Pocket Circuit minigame to race tiny cars as well as the Maharaja Disco Club if you want to get your dance on. Telephone Cards have been scattered around the city for your collecting pleasure. Furthermore, a whole bunch of Substories have opened up. These include normal Substories, friendship Substories, and you can also begin Kamoji's training at the Shichifuku Parking Lot. You can log 32 by the end of this chapter if you so choose, but getting all of them involves getting _heavily_ into Pocket Circuit, which is rather expensive of a proposition. You'd be forgiven for saving some of that until you get a heftier wallet.

Your story task is to get more info on Tachibana Real Estate, but you have no clue where to start, and there are no story markers, so the answer is to just do some detective work. Head straight south until you see a couple of colorful yakuza hanging out on Shichifuku St. not far from the M Store. They'll mention finding a business that Tachibana bought. Head to the intersection of Taihei and Pink St. and listen in to two businessmen to learn that you'll need to check out a place in Theater Alley. Go to Theater Alley and you'll come across a fiery young lady delivering the verbal smackdown to a guy late on his loan. Bacchus will show up and introduce you to Miss Tatsu, the master of the Beast Style. Kiryu will learn the style just by watching her and you'll try it out on the group that will show up. It's slow but it's got an amazing range and power. Miss Tatsu will also mention training you out at the Pier, so consider hopping into a Taxi to get her first two training lessons.

Continue down Theater Alley towards Mach Bowl and you'll encounter a yakuza. Beat him up so you can speak to the guy he was angry at. This guy will tell you to head to the Hakua Building on Shichifuku, which will be marked on your map. Finally a proper destination. Head to the marker and you'll investigate the holdout in the building. In this cutscene, you'll meet Oda, a rep for Tachibana, and you'll pick up quite a bit of info about the group. Next stop is the northeast corner of the map, at the edge of Park Boulevard. Talk to the homeless guys there to make your next stop Public Park 3, which is on Tenkaichi Alley. Speak to the bums and they'll ask for alcohol. You'll have to buy each of them what they're looking for.

There's a story-related trophy here that can be missed, so here are the items you need to buy:

  • Champagne - Don Quijote carries both normal and Gold Champagne. Buy the Gold Champagne and you'll get a trophy once you deliver it.
  • Scotch Whiskey - The Poppo on Showa St. (the southernmost west-east street) has this.
  • Sweet Potato Shochu - The Poppo on Tenkaichi St.
  • Sake - The M Store on Shichifuku St. (northern area)
  • Beer - Can be bought at just about any convenience store. You can pick up either "Malt's" or "Carlsberg".

After that shopping trip, drop off your goodies at Public Park 3. Your new best friends will point you to the Champion District.

But first, as you start to leave Tenkaichi Alley, Bacchus will call you to the back area. Follow him and you'll start your Brawler Style training with him. Train up with him if you have any skills you can unlock, then head to the Champion District. Enter via the west end, then walk down to the square lot in the southeast. Defeat the guys here to beat info out of them. You'll finally get your lead... back to Tachibana himself. I feel like all this could have been avoided by just grilling Tachibana on the first visit, but whatever. Head over to the marker near Theater Square, enter, beat up a bunch of guys and then you'll face Oda. He carries a heavy tonfa, which can easily break your guard. Try switching up styles to see what works best for you. If you're having trouble, open with Beast Style by swinging all the furniture at him, then dodge around him using the Rush Style for the rest of the fight. This will end the chapter.
