Chapter 3: A Gilded Cage

Follow the on-screen prompts to dodge opponent attacks and use Heat Actions (special moves) as instructed.

After the initial cutscenes, speak to the waiter on the club floor, who will call Kanae.

Choose any dialogue option when speaking with Kanae.

Speak to the waiter again to trigger a series of cutscenes.

You will be instructed to go to the club "Odyssey" to recruit a new hostess named Nozomi.

On your way out, you will encounter Sometaro Komeki, your Thug Style (a combat style) master. Engage him in a fight to try out the style, but you cannot train with him yet.

After the fight with Komeki, continue to Odyssey.

Missable Trophy Opportunity: To work towards a trophy, you must speak to three specific people about the state of Odyssey.

The first person is on the western Bishamon Bridge, wearing a green jacket.

The second person is at the corner of the Bunzaemon Outdoor Mall in the southeast, wearing a green coat.

The third person is located south of Odyssey; listen to a conversation between businessmen.

After speaking to all three, you can enter Odyssey.

Inside Odyssey, examine all four tables: two to your front and right, one on the far left, and an empty one closer on the left.

The trophy notification will not appear until the start of Chapter 4.

When Takako arrives, speak with her to gather information.

After the visit to Odyssey, you will return to the street and be directed to the middle of Sotenbori Street.

Observe the commotion by the river to learn the Slugger Style (another combat style) from a weapon dealer.

This also grants access to his shop, the Dragon & Tiger. It is recommended to perform at least one round of crafting here so Fei Hu will offer training.

Take advantage of Fei Hu's training to learn new weapon techniques.

Sotenbori is now more open, with 22 Substories (side missions) available for Majima, and most Telephone Cards (collectible items) can be found.

To continue the main story, return to the marked location: Majima's Apartment, located off the southern river footpath.

Defeat the punks who confront you, then enter the apartment to complete the chapter.
