Chapter 1 - Homecoming

You'll start off in Kamurocho, which is now a quarantine zone with the SDF in charge. As Kiryu, the Dragon of Dojima, arrives, chaos erupts. Two trucks crash, creating an opening for you to push forward. While punching zombies seems like the classic Kiryu way, it's not very effective early on. You'll get a flashback about Haruka being invited to a celebration at the Sunflower Orphanage because the headmaster is retiring. After some more zombie punching, you'll be shot at by an SDF officer named Asagi. She'll lead you into the underground mall, offering Kiryu a handgun, which he initially refuses. Asagi suggests checking Kamurocho Hills for survivors, and you both head there after hearing gunshots.

As you enter the underground parking lot, grab the Toughness ZZ right in front of you. Head east to find a group of zombies and a bitten Nagahama. He'll transform, and you'll have to fight him. Before the brawl, grab another Toughness ZZ in the corner. Nagahama will keep getting back up, but after a few takedowns, the fight ends. Kiryu then takes Asagi's handgun to finish Nagahama off. Afterward, Kiryu and Asagi head to Kamurocho Hills.

Chapter 2 - Reunion

Upon arriving at the safe zone, Asagi tells you to get ready. You'll meet Hasegawa, who gives Kiryu info about Kamiyama's van on Senryo Avenue and a text about four new areas to liberate in the Quarantine Zone. You're free to roam Kamurocho Streets, tackle most of Kiryu's substories, and engage in Spec-Ops missions. You can also visit Yuria at Shine and Miyabi at Jewel. For gear, it's highly recommended to pick up an Assault Rifle (for crowds), a Shotgun (for mutants), and a Grenade Launcher (for groups). Also, grab some good armor like the Dragon Flak Vest for the long journey ahead. Once you're prepared, talk to Asagi and select the bottom option, "Yeah, let's go," to head to Kamurocho Hills.

The path forward is mostly linear, and Asagi is a capable fighter. In the alley between Millennium Tower East Street and Pink Street, you can find another Toughness ZZ. Continue through the new path under the Millennium Tower onto Shichifuku Street. You'll encounter a rich zombie – take him down for some good loot. Be aware of zombies spawning behind you near the Ryugujo and Hot Springs. After passing a wooden barricade, you'll reach the entrance of Kamurocho Hills, finding everyone zombified. Fight your way through until you reach a room where the zombies have vanished. Suddenly, Hayashi appears and summons SDF zombies, followed by mutants. After defeating them, Asagi has a breakdown. Kiryu then hears something and finds Majima in a store, chilling with some chips.

Chapter 3 - Mysteries Revealed

Kiryu updates Majima on Haruka's situation, and Majima mentions Nikaido. Asagi asks about the fate of the people in Kamurocho Hills, and Majima reveals they're safe in Purgatory. It's time to fight your way there with both Asagi and Majima as your allies. Be mindful that the SDF zombies have strong gear. As you proceed, Majima jumps down to engage a large group of zombies. Asagi spots a rifle emplacement with infinite ammo; head there to support Majima and clear the first floor. You'll then join Majima, who points out the manhole leading to Purgatory. There's a resupply point on your floor if needed. Outside, clear out the numerous zombies blocking your path. As you approach the manhole, Majima reveals he's been bitten, showing signs of turning. He urges you to go on without him, telling you that it's up to Kiryu to take him down if he transforms. You'll then follow a linear path through the underground.
