Hidden Places

Uncover secret locations and items in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. Learn how to access the hidden town of Kasuto, find Magic Container #4, and obtain the Magical Key.

Walkthrough:

1. From the Palace on the Sea, return west to Nabooru.
2. Go south from Nabooru until you encounter the River Devil blocking the path. Play the Flute (press B) to make it vanish.
3. Continue south through three treacherous traps. These traps have Gerus throwing stones from above and Orange Gerus or Zoras on the ground. Move back and forth to dodge the projectiles and enemies.
4. After the traps, head into the swamp to the northeast. Go to the northwest corner of the swamp to find a hidden action scene. Cast Jump, defeat the Boon, and claim Doll #4 from a high ledge.
5. Exit the swamp and find a cave entrance at its north end. Inside, defeat the Girubokkus and then the Aruroda to claim a Treasure Bag (500 EXP). Backtrack and exit the cave.
6. Journey east into the woods. Find another cave and enter it. Defeat the Tektites in the first section. In the second section, defeat the Orange Geru and the Red Geru. The Red Geru is tougher, its club attacks cannot be blocked, and it yields less EXP than the Orange Geru.
7. At the end of this cave, you will emerge in an eastern cove. Use the Hammer in the woods to clear trees. Clear the second tree on the second row (facing the tile) to reveal the hidden town of Kasuto. Enter the town.
8. In Kasuto, talk to the old woman in purple at the second house. If you have all three prior Magic Containers (seven magic meter bars), she will let you in. Go to the basement to find Magic Container #4, the final one.
9. Exit the house and find the old woman in orange at the end of the first section of town to restore your magic if needed.
