Mission 12: Kanbei Arrives!

Day 1 & 2: Defensive Setup
You'll be using Andy for this mission. Sami's direct units aren't ideal here, and Max's indirect units can be too vulnerable. Andy gives you the best balance for both. Your first priority is to scout Kanbei's rocket ranges. Make sure none of your units are within striking distance on these early days. Park your medium tanks at the front, just outside that rocket range. The goal is to bait Kanbei into targeting your tougher medium tanks instead of your more fragile units. Use the mountain range as a natural barrier to keep his tanks from getting too close.

Positioning Your Indirect Units
Move your artillery and rockets as far forward as you can, but keep them just out of Kanbei's rocket range. Crucially, place a medium tank, a regular tank, or a mech directly to the right of these indirect units. This acts as a shield, preventing Kanbei's units from directly attacking your artillery and rockets.

Protecting Your Core
In the middle of your formation, use your infantry and mechs as your primary damage sponges against Kanbei's tanks. If any of these units take significant damage, don't hesitate to send them back to one of your cities to heal up.

Target Prioritization
When you're dishing out damage, focus on units with 2-3 HP remaining. It's better to finish them off than to let them retreat to a city and heal, making them a threat again later. Keep your units out of rocket range until you've dealt with all of Kanbei's tanks.

Dealing with Waves
As the turns progress, Kanbei will start sending waves of tanks at you, and his artillery will also move up. Continue using your rockets and artillery to take out his approaching units first, followed by your tanks. Your top targets should be his medium tanks, then his artillery, and finally his regular tanks. Remember to stay out of the range of his two rockets until you've eliminated all of his tanks and artillery.

The Grind to Victory
If you can successfully hold the line and utilize your cities and HQ for healing, you'll gradually wear down Kanbei's forces. Keep at it, and you'll eventually claim the win.
