Aion offers a robust customization system, allowing Daevas to truly personalize their appearance and optimize their gear. Beyond the initial character creation, you'll find numerous ways to stand out and refine your playstyle. This guide will walk you through the various avenues for customization, from cosmetic changes to powerful equipment enhancements.

Character Appearance

While your initial character creation provides a solid foundation, Aion offers several ways to tweak your look post-creation. These options allow for significant changes or subtle adjustments to keep your Daeva fresh.

• Plastic Surgery Ticket: For a complete overhaul of your character's facial features, body type, and even gender, you'll need a Plastic Surgery Ticket. These rare items can occasionally be found through high-tier instance drops, special in-game events, or purchased from the BlackCloud Marketplace. Visit a Plastic Surgeon NPC located in the main cities (e.g., Sanctum for Asmodians, Pandaemonium for Elyos) to use this ticket.
• Hair Style Ticket: If you're simply looking for a new hairstyle, the Hair Style Ticket is your go-to. Similar to Plastic Surgery Tickets, these can be acquired through various in-game activities or the BlackCloud Marketplace. Speak with a Hair Stylist NPC in any major city to browse available styles and apply your ticket.
• Dye Ampoules: To change the color of your armor and clothing, you'll need Dye Ampoules. These consumables come in a wide array of colors and can be purchased from General Goods Merchants in any town, or sometimes dropped by monsters. Simply right-click the Dye Ampoule in your inventory and then click on the piece of equipment you wish to color. Note that some armor pieces cannot be dyed.

Equipment Customization

Beyond aesthetics, Aion's equipment system offers deep customization to enhance your combat effectiveness. Understanding these mechanics is crucial for late-game progression and competitive play.

Manastone Enchanting

Manastones are essential for boosting your character's stats. Each piece of equipment (Armor, Weapons, Accessories) has a certain number of Manastone slots. The goal is to fill these slots with Manastones that complement your class and build.

1. Acquiring Manastones: Manastones drop from monsters, can be crafted by certain professions (e.g., Alchemy), or purchased from the Broker. They come in various tiers (e.g., Manastone: Attack +5, Manastone: HP +70) and qualities.
2. Enchanting Process:
   • Open your inventory (default key 'I').
   • Right-click on the Manastone you wish to use.
   • Click on the piece of equipment you want to enchant.
   • A success rate will be displayed. Higher quality Manastones and higher-tier equipment can have lower success rates.
   • Failure: If the enchantment fails, all previously socketed Manastones in that item are destroyed. This is a critical risk, so consider using Manastone Protection Scrolls (available from the BlackCloud Marketplace or rare drops) for valuable items.
3. Strategic Socketing: Prioritize stats that benefit your class. For example, a Gladiator might focus on Attack and Crit Strike, while a Cleric might prioritize Magic Boost and HP.

Godstone Enchanting

Godstones are powerful enchantments that can be applied to weapons, granting them a chance to proc a special effect on hit, such as a damage debuff, a stun, or an elemental attack. These are particularly impactful in PvP.

1. Obtaining Godstones: Godstones are rare drops from high-level instances (e.g., Dredgion, Dark Poeta), world bosses, or can be acquired through special quests and events. They are highly sought after and often command high prices on the Broker.
2. Applying a Godstone:
   • Open your inventory.
   • Right-click on the Godstone.
   • Click on the weapon you wish to enchant.
   • A weapon can only have one Godstone at a time. Applying a new Godstone will replace the old one.
3. Popular Godstones: Some highly coveted Godstones include Godstone: Blind (chance to blind target), Godstone: Silence (chance to silence target), and various elemental damage Godstones like Godstone: Fire Damage.

Equipment Tempering

Tempering increases the base stats of your armor and accessories, making them more resilient and effective. This process uses Tempering Solutions.

1. Acquiring Tempering Solutions: These items are typically obtained from daily quests, instance rewards, or purchased from the BlackCloud Marketplace.
2. Tempering Process:
   • Open your inventory.
   • Right-click on a Tempering Solution.
   • Click on the armor or accessory piece you want to temper.
   • Each successful temper increases the item's base stats and its temper level (e.g., +1, +2).
   • Failure: Tempering can fail, which will reset the item's temper level to 0. Use Tempering Solution Protection Scrolls to prevent this, especially on highly tempered items.

Fusing Weapons

Weapon fusing allows you to combine two weapons into one, inheriting the appearance of the top weapon and the stats/Manastone slots of both. This is crucial for maximizing weapon potential.

1. Requirements: You need two weapons of the same type (e.g., two Greatswords, two Daggers) and the same or higher grade (e.g., a Heroic weapon can be fused with a Fabled weapon, but not vice-versa).
2. Fusion Process:
   • Visit a Weapon Fuser NPC in a major city.
   • Place the weapon whose appearance you want to keep in the top slot.
   • Place the weapon whose stats/Manastone slots you want to add in the bottom slot.
   • Confirm the fusion. The resulting weapon will have the combined Manastone slots and the stats of both weapons, but only the appearance of the top weapon.
3. Strategic Fusing: Often, players fuse a high-damage weapon with a weapon that has desirable passive effects or extra Manastone slots, creating a truly powerful hybrid.
