Perform in the TV Musical and find the Flare Gun in Alan Wake 2: The Lake House. Unlocks the Old Gods of Asgard song.

You will regain control of Alan in the Writer's Room. Sit down at the typewriter and Alan will start work on a new draft of _Initiation_. The scene will switch to the green room in the Talk Show Studio. When you are able to, interact with the TV and the scene will switch to the TV studio where a musical number is being performed.

Walk towards the screen and up some stairs. Continue through a door to a child's bedroom and approach the picture of Alan to proceed. Continue up some more stairs and turn right. When you can't go forward any further, turn round and follow the arrows back the way you came. Make your way down some stairs and approach the TV.

Interact with it to move onto the next stage.

Grab the Angel Lamp from the podium and make your way to a ladder in the corner of the room. Climb to the top and follow the walkway round until you can Shift Light (manipulate light sources). Afterwards, head down the stairs in front of you and climb down a ladder.

Follow the arrows down some more stairs and follow the path to an area with a telephone kiosk and taxi.

Head down the alley following the sign to the Getaway Club. Keep following the signs until you find yourself by a streetlight.

Shift Light and head back to the taxi. Shift Light again and interact with the TVs in the window of the Vision TV Shop.

The scene will switch to a theatrical representation of the ferry approaching Bright Falls. When it "docks", walk round the set and climb a ladder to the "Writer's Room" where you will find the Flare Gun on the desk.

Pick it up to unlock the Lights Shining trophy.

Start making your way through the "forest". You will find Taken (enemies) to kill and emergency cabinets containing supplies. Don't spend too much time dealing with the enemies - simply evade their attacks and move on. Keep following the arrows and you will eventually reach a "Safe Haven" along with a representation of "Bird's Leg Cabin" where you will find another TV to interact with.

When you do so, you will find yourself back in the green room. Go through to the Break Room where you will see an Echo (a residual memory). Align it and you will find yourself back on the set of the TV musical. Climb the ladder to reach the "Writer's Room".

Use the Plot Board (a tool to manipulate the narrative) and select _Musical_ / _Song's End_.

This causes a TV to appear. Interact with it to bring the musical interlude to a close.

When it finishes, you will have unlocked the Old Gods of Asgard - _Herald of Darkness_ Song (9/14).

You will be back to the loadout that you started the chapter with plus the flare gun. Go past Ahti (an NPC (non-player character — anyone the game controls, not you)) to reach a Lobby to the north of the studio. Go through the door for the end of chapter screen and the All His Life trophy. You will also unlock another Song, Poe - _This Road (The Dark Chamber)_ (10/14).

When you regain control, you will find yourself in a Break Room. Save your game if you like and go through the doors to the north to find yourself back on the streets of the Dark Place.

The Dark Place

Heads towards Caldera St. Plaza and answer the ringing payphone. The caller asks Alan how much he remembers and whether he visited Parliament Tower. Alan mentions the _Return_ manuscript and the caller tells Alan to meet him at the Oceanview Hotel. Alan puts the phone down and picks up the Room 665 Key.

Cross over the road and start making your way north along Ocean Avenue. As you pass the Vision TV Shop, the TVs in the window will come on, unlocking the _Dark Presence_ Writer's Journey video (4/9).

Continue north along Ocean Avenue. When you pass three telephone kiosks, turn round and shine your torch high on the wall of the brownstone to find a Word of Aid (17/28).

Cross back over the road and make your way to the entrance of the Oceanview Hotel.

Go inside, up some steps and through another door. You will find yourself turned round so head back outside.

After Alan's done some figuring out, look west to see a "Mirror Peak Bar" sign at the end of an alley.

Follow the arrows until you reach the Alley where you met Casey earlier and head west for another scene with Casey who is now convinced that Alan is the cult leader.

Alan protests that Scratch is responsible but then shoots Casey.
