Walkthrough
- 1Enter the Sheriff's Station and locate Agent Estevez in a closet on the left.
- 2After she warns you about a Taken, go to the Conference Room for supplies, then proceed to the employee lounge to kill the Taken Bruiser.
- 3Return to Estevez and exhaust her conversation options. She will give you the Sheriff's Station Keys and mention Alan is in the holding cells and Alex is injured in the morgue.
- 4Grab supplies from the front desk.
- 5Use the Sheriff's Station Keys to enter Tim Breaker's office at the end of the corridor.
- 6Examine the notes by the radio to unlock a clue.
- 7Examine the books on the desk and the handwritten note for a cipher where a letter signifies its position in the alphabet order mod (a community-made modification that changes the game) 10 (A=1, I=9, J=0, K=1, etc.). Note the authors' names: Quincey (17 mod 10 = 7), Batson (2), Westmore (23 mod 10 = 3).
- 8Enter 723 into the locked cabinet to obtain the Pump-Action Shotgun and unlock the Stop Right There trophy.
- 9If you go to the Mind Place (your personal space to manage inventory and case files), you can open a new case on the Case Board, _Wake and the Clicker_, and place the first batch of clues.
- 10Try the door next to Breaker's office to unlock a clue, but you cannot proceed. Unlock the door past the Employee Lounge and go down the stairs to the basement.
- 11Go through the door to the Evidence Room and use the boltcutters (a tool to cut through chains) on the chain securing the evidence storage area.
- 12Find the final Cult Stash (22/22) inside. The combination is the number of lines on each drawn figure: 1, 4, and 6.
- 13Enter 146 as the combination to get shotgun ammo, hunting rifle ammo, a Flare Rocket, and a Flashbang. If this is the last stash you've opened, you will also find the Lighthouse Key. If you've found all the lunch boxes, you will unlock the Hidden by the Trees trophy.
- 14Grab supplies on the way out and go to Maintenance to find a Break Room (a place to save your progress and manage inventory). Stock up on Flashbangs from the Shoebox (an item that allows you to manage inventory).
- 15Continue through the Locker Room and witness Alex disposing of a Taken.
- 16Go into the Autopsy Room and find Alex behind a makeshift barricade. Exhaust his conversation options to unlock his profile. He believes Logan is dead.
- 17Alex gives you a Fuse. Place it in the fusebox on the lower wall to restore power to the station.
- 18Agent Estevez will warn via the radio (a communication device) that Taken are on the loose. Two Taken will enter the Autopsy Room.
- 19After dealing with them, grab supplies from Medical Storage and go to the locker room.
- 20A darkness barrier (an obstacle that can only be dispelled by light) is blocking the corridor. A Taken Diver will come through. After killing it, use your torch to clear the barrier.
- 21Use the Break Room if desired before heading upstairs.
- 22Look for the _Breakthrough in the Lake House_ Manuscript Page (54/56) on the floor of the hallway next to a dead officer.
- 23Find Estevez behind the front desk. Exhaust her conversation options and go through the now-open door to the holding cells. Alan Wake is there with the Koskela brothers.
- 24Before talking to anyone, grab the _Sheriff's Station Attacked_ Manuscript Page (46/56) from the floor of an open cell.
- 25Alan's cell is at the end. Tell him you have the Clicker.
- 26Scratch will transform and kill Jaakko Koskela, stealing his jacket. He grabs a bar from the cell door and attacks.
- 27Avoid Scratch's attacks and head through the door to the back lot.
- 28Activate three Power Cores in the back lot by holding X to power the UV lights.
- 29Use a Flashbang to stun Scratch, or use a couple of shotgun blasts to the head if you run out of Flashbangs.
- 30When all three Power Cores are activated, the UV lights will come on, and Scratch will vanish.
- 31After the end of chapter screen, you will unlock the Seeing Double trophy along with the Paleface - _Dark, Twisted and Cruel_ Song (8/14).
- 32Regain control in Breaker's office with Alex and Estevez. Exhaust their conversation options.
- 33Estevez gives Saga the Prison Cell Key, which unlocks the area with FBC (Federal Bureau of Control) intel.
- 34Return to the Holding Cells and examine the papers to unlock four clues.
- 35Grab the _Dark Poem 3_ Manuscript Page (55/56) lying on some flight cases.
- 36Find Ilmo Koskela by Jaakko's body near the front desk.
- 37Talk to Ilmo about the cult. He explains their purpose is to protect Watery and Bright Falls from the Taken, killing those who have already turned, not turning people themselves. They want to kill Wake because they believe he is as bad as other threats from the lake.
- 38Go to the Mind Place and click on the topics under the profiles of Casey, the Koskelas, Scratch, and Wake. Bring up the Case Board and place clues.
Tips
- Stocking up on Flashbangs at the Break Room in Maintenance is highly recommended for the fight against Scratch.
- The combination for the Cult Stash in the basement is derived from the number of lines in the drawn figures on its lid.
- The Pump-Action Shotgun is unlocked by solving a cipher based on author names and their alphabetical position mod 10.
