Walkthrough
- 1The memory begins with a young Arno Dorian visiting Versailles. After his father leaves, a mysterious girl appears and runs off. Follow her through the rooms of Versailles, bumping into servants, until you reach a garden courtyard.
- 2As you approach the girl, she dares you to steal an apple from a table in the center of the courtyard, near a sleeping guard. Upon taking the apple, the guard will spot Arno and attempt to chase him.
- 3This sequence serves as a tutorial for the 'Last Known Position' mechanic. This allows you to break line of sight and lure an enemy away from their current location. Use this to lose the first guard, then lure the guard near the exit away to escape the garden.
- 4After rejoining the girl, a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) will play, leaving Arno stunned.
- 5Thirteen years later, Arno is still engaged in thievery. After a subsequent cutscene, the first optional objective becomes active: run after Hugo while passing over and under 5 objects.
- 6The first object is a window; use R2 + O / RT + B to hop through it. The second object is directly after the window; keep holding the buttons to slide under a table inside the building.
- 7As you head back outside, veer right to slide over the third object, a table.
